  1. As it should be. If we aren't in a position to get quality players to replace him we might as well hold onto him. Any SB contending team is going to be in the 20s or 30s which basically 2nd tier 1st rounders or overrated 2nd rounder. Taking a 2nd is pushing the 3rd round which mean the player may or may not start right away. Burns, CMC or any other player we need to get optimum trade value. Fitterer has to stand tall and get great deals for us, not give him away that's for sure. Houston, Detroit and Philly each have 2 1st rounders. I'd start with them.
  2. Young looks good too. I like Hooker because of his size. 6'4" and he looks like he can make all the throws. He manages the Pocket well too.
  3. This is the one game this year we can evaluate Herdon Hooker. Alabama @ UT is on now. He's already lead UT to a TD. Take a look and give your opinion on this guy.
  4. I get your disgruntled about the team, but this isn't high school football where you don't get a sticker on your helmet until you do something good. Sam started "Keep Pounding" to remind everyone that no matter how bleak things are you gotta "Keep Pounding". If anything, this is exactly why we should keep it. We are struggling to be relevant again. THE PANTHERS NEED TO "KEEP POUNDING"
  5. Burns is a core player; we shouldn't let him go unless we get a really good offer for him. Fitterer better keep in mind what Tepper said, "I never want to lose on a trade" We'll see.
  6. I could see why Burns wants out. Snow Dropping him back into coverage doesn't give him the opportunity to increase his sack total. Sack totals = $$$$. Maybe he'll have a change of heart now that Wilks is in charge. We still have some leverage with the Franchise Tag. I'd hope we could resign him and not have to go that route but, if we really want to keep him Tagging may be an option.
  7. Wouldn't it be interesting if Wilks cans McAdoo after Sunday's game if our offense looks inept again. Maybe he told him, get this offense going or your next.
  8. GREAT POST I too am an eternal optimist, so I go into Sunday's game hoping we beat them. I think it's possible. I think what is more important is how we actually play. I think Wilks will have our players coming out to punch LA Rams in the mouth. Hit them hard and make a statement. Carolina is not going to just roll over and give you anything. If we win it will be a glorious day, if we lose and play a good game than there will be optimism for the remainder of the season. I will never focus on draft picks until we are mathematically eliminated. EVER
  9. That was a great hire in hiring Campy. I think I saw a stat that we are the only team in the NFL that have the same starting 5 through week 5. This is a huge change for us. I the past we seemed to have the worst luck with keeping our linemen healthy.
  10. I'm hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
  11. I'm hoping for the best, expecting the worst.
  12. Go ahead Mr. Knowledgeable and call Tepper and tell him to cancel the season so we don't win anymore games. Go jump on a winning team bandwagon so you can have a successful season.
  13. Exactly a fan forum. This team isn't tanking for anything so a knowledgeable fan, like myself, won't beg for something that is never going to happen. But we have to put up with the begging and moaning of fans, like you, that don't know much about what it takes to play professional football.
  14. Got it. Just go into the locker room and tell the players that they need to stop trying so hard so we can get a #1 draft pick.
  15. That logic means the forum would fold. No one in this forum has the power to call plays, draft players, fire coaches or anything else. What is an acceptable topic?
  16. Yeah, cause we need room for one more tanking thread.
  17. That was a terrible kick. He's lucky the Bears didn't score on that last drive.
  18. In these drafts how many QBs were selected before that winning QB?
  19. I agree, at that point if we had Wilson or Lawrence at our pick it would have been insane not to take them. That said, how many of huddlers would be screaming bust on either of them. I say the book is still out on both. I've seen Lawrence make some sweet throws and than just throw a terrible Int. Same with Wilson.
  20. Logical. College play can really over/under emphasize the ability of a player. You see it every year. 2022 the best QB in that draft just might be Bailey Zappe.
  21. And you made the point of not tanking for a QB. We drafted Horn in 2021 who at this point is better than any of the QBs in that draft.
  22. No, I'm not but I am saying that Tanking isn't the answer.
  23. Hahahahahaha Everyone, every season, if we aren't doing well, wants to tank for a QB. Oddly, I've never heard you tell the other 4 million post on tanking your educated response.
  24. Everyone was screaming for us to Tank and get a QB in 2021. Before I start I want to say that yes, it is possible that all or none of these guys will eventually get it. Right now, I'm not impressed. Let's look how each is doing. Lawrence looking spotty at best. Shown some flashes but not showing he's a franchise QB, yet. Wilson looks like he might be turning the corner but clearly not Franchise Material Lance, is already hurt but in his limited time at QB wasn't showing much. Fields is definitely not going to be the answer. He only makes throws that aren't uncontested. Jones is/was probably the best of the 5 and he might not get his job back from Zappe. My point is, tanking for a QB is not a sure thing and we should play to our ability and let the chips fall as they may. If we end up with a top 5 than so be it. However, if we drop out of the top 5, it's not the end of the world.
