The Carolina Panthers are owned by a Dan Snyder clone
Rubi replied to tiger7_88's topic in Carolina Panthers
this team has gotten rocked the past 2 years with rhule as HC and Tepper picked rhule. Tepper is a bad owner until he proves otherwise. How can it be anything else ? -
Joe Person and The 33rd Team break down the Mayfield trade

Yeh but Jimmy G was serviceable for a few years I guess and Lance is the future feels like panthers throwing darts at a board. 49ers had a clear plan -
Baker has thrown a ton of INTs. For the number 1 pick - he’s in bust territory IMO

Think about all the money spent and draft picks traded for: Teddy, Sam, Cam, Baker and Corral And we still don’t know what the long term answer is. Yikez

Weren’t they trying to get Baker before the draft? It’s like they were hell bent on over spending resources to create a QB competition. -

It seems really expensive what they’ve done to create their QB room. I can’t recall any other team doing this unless someone can lay out another example. (amount of $ spent and draft picks traded away to bring in QBs) -

Going back to teddy it’s been really weird decision making regarding the QB position. They spent all that cash and all that draft capitol to stack a room with baker, Sam, and corral. 2 of which have some decent investment - but Baker most likely plays. And there’s only 1 QB on the field at a time. Just really bizarre. Bringing in Baker makes Corral totally irrelevant now moving forward unless Baker totally craps the bed. Chances are he won’t -
The Panthers are the worst rated team in Madden 23

Panthers have one of the weakest rosters in the league so them being trash in madden is appropriate -
He gets pushed around. He needs more beef. Compare his body to Star’s…there’s a difference IMO

Brown needs more power and stoutness to his game. Not sure how leaning out accomplishes this
-
What is he up to ? He’s balls deep in Olivia , duh
-
Panthers are lucky to win 4 - 6 games again.

It’s my contribution to the thread. Sorry if you’re upset with it. It’s just my opinion on having watched the player. Didn’t mean to upset you or anyone else if he’s a capable backup I think it’s a win for the org

Being a back up at the pro level isn’t a bad thing. backup - corral > PJ
-
Corral to me seems like he’s a back up at the nfl level.
-
DL and LB groups are concerns for me.

Looking at the schedule I only see 5-6 wins at the most. They may be in position to select a QB in the first round next year. Hopefully he sees the field so the team can see what they have in him. Darnold will not be a panther after this year. There’s no reason for him to play once Corral is up to speed with the offense. I think Corral has a very short window to show if he can be a long term starter. How many 2nd or 3rd round QBs have gone on to be studs ? Wilson, Carr ? I can’t think of anyone else

In the 4th, you take the high athletic traits. Glad to see the team grab a LB with a rare all around build for the position in that round.

Seems like they really took OL to heart this off-season

Hopefully we see LB, OL, RB with these later picks.

Take it to the bank it’s happening. Pickett is the pick
