  1. It proves my point. They balk at the contract because they know he is likely to get hurt during that second contract.
  2. Cam was very physically vulnerable. The hits accumulated which led to the shortening of his career. I remember the head shots on him vs the Broncos in week one of the 2016 year. Brutal. I love Cam. I'm not insinuating drafting Cam was a mistake, but he was injured much through his second contract.
  3. Yes but that foot injury took a year and a half to heal. I mean Lamar is hurt right now. Why do you think paying 250 mill guaranteed to a guy who is way more at risk of injury then the average QB is a good idea? I get it. It would be exciting to see Jackson in a Panthers uniform but it is not what's in our best interest.
  4. I'm just saying he is likely to be hurt through this contract. The risk outweighs the reward on this one. Otherwise Baltimore wouldn't be moving on.
  5. Cam was great but we saw the refs let defenders tee off head shots. Cams shoulder gets all the blame but the foot was equally as bad. I'm not I donating Cam was a mistake just the likelihood of a running QB lasting the entire length of his second contract is akin to the CMC contract
  6. Jackson is electric but he will get hurt long term at some point in his next contract. We should learn from Cam. Jackson game isn't able to sustain a 12 year career. Hard pass.
  7. Like I said mentioned earlier Ball is a good player but he doesn't elevate the franchise beyond ticket sales. He has nice handles and a passing game but is an absolute liability defensively and isn't a vocal warrior. Like I also mentioned there has been no time where he has had to elevate his game to win in high pressure moments at any point in his career. Australia was purely development. All the other guys I mentioned have. Kemba doesn't have the talent that Ball has but he was a much better leader and the team played better around him.
  8. Hickory would not be my first choice. If I were to move back from Charleston I wouldn't go Western NC. I would target the Raleigh area.
  9. I had an opportunity to live in WNC for a while. I'm not sure if you are looking for a big town or small town, but for families I would recommend Weaverville or Black Mountain. Candler is also really great. Hickory as its advantages because of location.
  10. No thanks. Non contact ACL injuries are a big red flag.
  11. In all fairness, Wilks is substantially younger then BB in NE. While BB will probably be dubbed the greatest NFL coach of all time, he actually may be the "has been" right now. He may have one or two years left up in NE.
  12. Well there is no doubt that Al Holcomb shouldn't be DC. The one thing on Wilks I'm worried about is if he plans on being overly loyal. I will say that the D looked okay up until that Horne injury. Obviously there were inconsistencies being ironed out, but let's remember Wilks didn't do the grocery shopping. While I'm not a fan of Holcomb's schematics, our personnel was chosen to run however Snow's college defense can be described. I'm okay with Holcomb going back to being a positional coach. Wilks earned an opportunity to be the HC in my opinion, Holcomb did not earn the opportunity to be DC in my opinion. So I love to game, and I have a 6 year old daughter. Sometimes she wants to take a crack at a game that I'm playing, and she will die a ton. "Oof'd" as the young kids are saying these days. I take the controller back after a bit and raise the score up a little bit. That's what Wilks did this year, he had to yank the controller away from someone who sucks at video games mid game, and he brought the K/D ratio back to respectability. We all know that we would have won the division if Wilks had been the coach the entire year. He coached long enough this year for us to make an accurate projection. I've heard someone on here bashing Wilks on here saying "that's why he coached Missouri." Well here's the truth about that. Wilks is an NFL coach. He isn't a college coach. His failure at Missouri has more to do with recruiting issues then anything schematically (it's tough to recruit at Missouri and compete in the SEC). That element doesn't exist in the pros. He is an NFL coach unlike Rhule who is a college coach. The good news is, we're an NFL team. I'm unconvinced that any other coach we bring in will show more commitment to the organization then Wilks has. Wilks is a very good NFL football coach, the man has paid his dues and deserves a legitimate shot not just a tank year hire. I did see the players Keep Pounding, even in games we didn't want them too. We did see the culture change. Wilks did such a good job that it's hard to even remember Rhule. I didn't go into this year with any built in loyalty towards Wilks. When he was hired to be interim I was like everyone else. I was already thinking about all the potential candidates. Wilks made me stop and take notice. Seeing how the players responded to him, made me a believer. We want to keep Burns? We want to keep Brown? Hire Wilks. Those guys are gone if we don't.
  13. What's interesting about the whole Steve Wilks shouldn't be hired because he is a defensive coach thing is this: The biggest improvement the team saw once Wilks was appointed was on the offensive side of the ball.
  14. How is that strange? Filthy rich people are wealthy for two reason. They're cheap, and they're sociopaths.
  15. Well that's true. It's not just the qb. Robbing Peter to Pay Paul is fine when you have a qb, but now they don't have a QB and they're in cap hell. They are way worse positioned then we are.
  16. I was listening to Peter King on Florio's show about this. Mcvay has voiced his thoughts about not being willing to go through the rebuild of the Rams and his debating stepping away for a year. Pulling a Sean Payton pretty much. King said the difference is Payton didn't vocalize anything even though he felt the same way.. He just left. Why would Payton leave for one year? It's because it was the only way he could end his contract faster. He knew that if he was the coach during the rebuild then his name and legacy would me stained. Peter King said the same. Now I don't usually care what reporters say because it's usually more theatrical then substantive. When it comes to Peter King, he has legit sources and he sits on a ton of information. If he says Payton bounces because he didn't want to be a part of a rebuild then I have a tendency to believe. Just me.
  17. Well Payton jumped ship because of the quagmire the Saints are in and McVay is getting ready to bounce because of the same.
  18. No hate, just being honest. He's a mid tier star, and the best we can be with him headlining is average. Great 3rd scoring option and highlight distributor on a championship team, but he shouldn't be THE GUY.
  19. I understand the notion that his age may disenchant you with college football a little bit, or the NIL for that matter. What we are talking about right now though is, can he play? Bennett can play.
  20. I agree with college football being awful this year. I don't agree with your analysis on Bennett's age. It's not the movie Billy Madison where a full grown man goes around blocking the shots of third graders. If you're saying he plays smarter because of his age then that's a good thing. I wouldn't want the guy as a 1st round pick because of that age factor, but between rounds 3-5 it would be a great pick, and that's not an indictment on his ability to start at the next level. Would you take him or Zach WIlson?
  21. She is a paper tiger owner. It's like grandma cosigning for a car for a teenager that doesn't have to pay anything.
  22. I don't know man, He's got a fast processor. He reminds me a little of Brees with better speed.
  23. I think the Milton kid from Tennessee is going to be big time.
