  1. Excited? Nothing! Intrigued? Three or four legit starters out the draft.
  2. If Cam still had an arm. Now, he can't even throw as far as Bryce.
  3. It really wasn't his fault that we sucked. He was also doing new things under this offense according to him. But I understand. Just know that if he ends up somewhere else, his productivity will probably double.
  4. Anger? His lack of enthusiasm, and I can't blame any Panthers fan for that.
  5. Well, I can't argue with him. But, he has to understand that we didn't have a lot of options.
  6. I would feel like we've wasted an opportunity to get two immediate contributors instead of one.
  7. I don't see it as overpaying, I see it as "you get what you pay for." And I couldn't be more pleased. I'm surprised that Scot hasn't weighed in. This will be our golden era of the Big Uglies.
  8. Again. There is no way to be a bad "dawg." Using "dawg" negatively has gotta stop. If you must call him something, call him a dog, but not a "dawg."
  9. It was a good deal for both teams. CBS Sports actually gave the Steelers an A and us a B (they get rhe better grade for moving up). They need corners and we need receivers.
  10. Remember all the hand wringing? Remember when I told you we'd probably re-sign him? Well. You just can't pay almost three mil for him.
  11. There is untapped potential there also: Consider that the Steelers only had 13 passing TDs in 2023. DJ had 5 of them.
  12. I've already told y'all: if McConkey or Mitchell are still on the board, one of them will be ours.
  13. Well, that's really not the point, and it somewhat speaks to my point. You don't have to be blazing fast to make it. 4.39 is plenty, especially for a receiver that is quick and has a knack for getting open. Ladd is that guy. Talk about his lack of prototypical size (he's not as small as some or as big as some), or talk about his injuries, but you can't credibly use speed as a reason not to draft him.
  14. The frst round isn't a lock either https://phillycovercorner.com/2023/04/first-round-draft-success-rates-who-could-be-risky-in-the-2023-draft/ There really isn't recent data from what I've been able to find. Some of the most recent stats are only in reference to fantasy football, and I sure ain't using that. From my research, it's just hard to say. It depends upon what standard they're using (which tsome that I've seen used is if you sign a second contract, or sign a second contract with your team, or become a starter). I've seen some things that say more than 50 percent of first round picks bust. I'll just say that It's throwing darts. The more skilled you are, the more you'll hit. I certainly don't think that moving down in the second necessarily precludes you from getting a legit player.
  15. I only said that for sake of argument. A few players can hit that 4.2 mark now. 16 Men have run sub 4.3 during the Combine era. 1. WR Xavier Worthy: 4.21 seconds (2024) 2. WR John Ross III: 4.22 seconds (2017) 3. CB Kalon Barnes: 4.23 seconds (2022) 4. RB Chris Johnson: 4.24 seconds (2008) T-5. RB Dri Archer: 4.26 seconds (2014) T-5. CB Tariq Woolen: 4.26 seconds (2022) T-5. CB DJ Turner II: 4.26 seconds (2023) T-8. WR Marquise Goodwin 4.27 seconds (2010) T-8. WR Henry Ruggs III: 4.27 seconds (2020) T-10. WR Jacoby Ford: 4.28 seconds (2010) T-10. WR J.J. Nelson: 4.28 seconds (2015) T-10. CB Jalen Myrick: 4.28 seconds (2017) T-10. WR Tyquan Thornton: 4.28 seconds (2022) T-10. CB Nate Wiggins: 4.28 (2024) T-15. S Zedrick Woods: 4.29 (2019) T-15. CB Javelin Guidry: 4.29 (2020 -Greenville News Needless to say though---should be anyway---McConkey and speed are not a problem.
  16. Anyone that doesn't realize that Ladd is fast and quick just hasn't been watching. He's a complete receiver. He isn't blazing fast, but it doesn't take that to be a successful receiver in the NFL. 4.39 is plenty of speed, and his playing speed is reflective of his legit speed.
  17. Where are you getting this? I've looked over information that seems to be always dated (I guess because the sample rate has to be over time), and 33 percent seems extremely low from what I've read.
  18. The Steelers must have been very unhappy with his attitude. Very unhappy!
  19. This is true. Morgan got tricks...Jedi mind tricks.
