  1. this seems more like a controlled leak. An identical sentiment coming out at exactly the same time to multiple insiders? also moving up to draft someone who ideally won’t play much this season wouldn’t be normal
  2. right, and to be clear, we all see past the attempted misdirect here. You’re embarrassed, we get it. You should be, and since you already know the point I’m going to make I’ll go ahead and make it-if you aren’t even familiar with fixture players on a team that went undefeated and won it all-why would we assume that can provide a credible opinion on players from teams who did much less? the answer is of course that you cannot.
  3. There is no mistake I can make. You’ve demonstrated that you don’t know who multiple noteworthy players are from a natty team that are prominent names in the upcoming draft. It’s okay to admit you don’t follow along that close.
  4. You’re embarrassing yourself dude. Sometimes it’s okay to put the shovel away and stop digging. you don’t follow ball that close, it’s okay. also are you really going to undermine your own point? if both WRs are splitting opportunities-then the playing field is even and the one with the bigger numbers would be regarded as taking that bullet point in his favor. stop being cringe
  5. which you apparently just looked up because you were unfamiliar with him. far out produced Carnell Tate this past season, despite having to split touches with Sarratt. He’s going high.
  6. I doubt he’s in consideration at 19. He’s probably never going to be a great in the box player and after they just spent money on Devin Lloyd there’s a bit of redundancy. Also a deep LB class, not a premium position, etc. Anything could happen in this class but I very credibly doubt that it is this.
  7. I mean I wholly endorse taking a great OT prospect if you can get one but ultimately Taylor Moton has missed four games across the past five seasons and is still an elite RT.
  8. remember six years ago when we all thought Trent Williams was suiting up to ring chase with a contender for a couple seasons before he hung it up? remember that the next time you wanna push Taylor Moton out the door
  9. I like Sadiq, I like the personality here as well. Idaho guy. I’m not sure if it’s the best selection-I actually worry that his ability as a route runner needs work. He’s mainly just winning on athleticism. But he’s terrific with the ball in his hands and it’s not often you have a piece like that you can throw the old backside screen to and reel off 20 yards. his blocking doesn’t concern me. He’s technically sound, strong. You line him up off ball in 12 and let Mitchell Evans do the dirty work while he pulls to pick up a linebacker or nosey corner. He’s plus at that on the tape (what little there is of it anyways, I miss draftbreakdown(?)) he develops as a route runner and he’ll be excellent. I just wonder if there’s a more plug and play weapon like Cooper or Concepcion or a better long term play at OT. But I like Sadiq plenty.
  10. You have a chance to add two top 10 players you take it. edit: especially in this class.
  11. He’s also substantially big than both of those guys. People can fixate on a contextless stat that appeals to their confirmation bias if they want here: when you watch a guy play and route up high end man corners-he’s going to get drafted high. ill add another stat: It was mentioned on the radio that he apparently faced the highest percentage of uncatchable balls over 15 yards in all of CFB last season. Watch him play and he consistently had to climb the ladder. Hes a good player.
  12. also who even is the original tweeter, does he have a track record or is this just Juan stuff
  13. That doesn’t really mean anything though. To expand on it, not only did they take three straight, they took a first round WR in four out of five years. if they had passed on the talent in 2007 because of what they did from 2003-2005, it would’ve been a colossal mistake. millen’s mistake was drafting bad players. If the talent is at a premium position-then take that. it should also be pointed out that today’s nfl mandates three, if not four, quality wideouts whereas in the early two thousands you were just fine with two
  14. You run zone because you can’t challenge WRs in space. Developing a guy to learn when to squat or stop is a normal part of the growing process. Guys who can challenge man and separate deep are going to get drafted high or paid exuberant money. It’s a skill set you have to have on your roster. additionally, this data isn’t new-we’ve seen it before, so I don’t need to read it. It’s an isolated component of his profile whole profile, one that is about to get him drafted high.
  15. I did my personal mock this morning and ended up going this route with Sadiq and Thienaman still on the board. Now it feels wrong.
  16. I buy the thieneman thing because right now there’s nobody but Nick Scott at that position, but honestly, we’re in peak smoke season and he doesn’t really fit with our formula of drafting expensive high value positions early.
  17. we could honestly probably get Detroit to give us a pick swap for next to nothing just so they could stick it to Minnesota.
  18. Same. Moved so well. But his combine weight was probably water weight and I imagine he shrunk back down substantially afterward. edit: he was like the ultimate litmus test of where you were at as a draft nerd. If you weren’t dazzled by his movement skills then you clearly had not built up a big enough point of reference to know how impressive it was and must be new. however, any more experience as a draftnik and you surely knew right away why he was so nimble: he had no butt.
  19. I asked AI to forego reading mock drafts and analyze other available data to make a sophisticated projection of who the Panthers will take at 19. after making a comprehensive and rather intelligent overview of Dan Morgan’s tendencies, Dave Canales’ scheme fit, and overall roster needs-it finally spit out a name after much calculation. with the 19th overall pick in the NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select: Princely Umanmielen, DE, Carolina Panthers after being told that there was an small issue with this possibility, it updated and spit out a secondary name: Domani Jackson, CB, Alabama once again I pointed out this is unlikely, and explained why, so it ran the data again and came up with: Benjamin Morrison, Tampa Bay Buccaneers finally, I gave it permission to incorporate mock drafts into it’s formula and it told me Kenyon Sadiq because those mock drafts said so. It did say to keep an eye on Jermod McCoy though because of the team’s emphasis on positional value early. You can see the emphasis on CB for this reason.
  20. Right but when that position is the talent rich position group available for you to draft, it escalates in priority. maybe they ultimately love Peter Woods or something but the thought process behind another WR is logical and a good move.
  21. The WR debate is pretty similar to the WR debate from last offseason, and it paid off not resting on our laurels. i think Jalen Coker is much better (prior to catching the ball anyways, he can be dumb with the ball in his hands) than the Solid Number 3 a lot of media types have labeled him as. but all it’s going to take is Concepcion housing one 1 time to see what the room has been missing if “good enough” seems good enough to you, then remember that the Rams have Nacua and Adams and were still trying to trade for AJ Brown. You build your team to win your division first and the conference after that.
  22. I mean they are meeting with guys at his position group. It would be highly unlikely that they are not considering the top ranked player at his position. He was reportedly a joy to talk to interviews. i think I’m leaning towards him not being who they pick, but they are absolutely considering him.
  23. Teams value size more than fans do. I loved Jake Fisher coming out. Had such great feet, elite kick step, great counter pickup. Went in the 2nd and was being tried at TE a few seasons later. i still think Lomu goes first though.
