  1. That’s exactly why you don’t spend a high pick on one
  2. “just leave it as it is” is the fastest way to ensure you’re not leaving it as it is
  3. yeah but nobody cared then just like nobody cares now. It’s a weird take given how they’ve had consistently good center play from a rotating cast of guys there this season. It’s not a valuable position to invest in and they absolutely should not set a high pick on fire trying to fix a problem that isn’t broken. if anything this season has completely disassembled the argument that they should so we find it odd you’re trying to beat the drum for it just because a guy got injured
  4. they’re all raw prospects, especially in that range
  5. the frustrating part with Coker is that he really needs to be evaluated. its great his pff grade is good but you can’t neglect WR as a need on the basis of an UDFA who “really looked the part” catching three passes a game. They need to see him. but maybe I’m still traumatized by David gettis and secret weapon Drew Carter
  6. is it just me or does every player hurt on this team sit out the absolute maximum number of games glad we’re so player friendly but maybe, you know, we win that game if a guy who has built a reputation as an elite defender against the run on the edge is out there edit: it’s not my leg, I get it. I’m just frustrated.
  7. it takes a lot of huddle trust and history to be able to drop a dominate joke and trust the rest of us will be in on the joke
  8. he can and probably still will develop into a good player but you consider the kind of QB Bryce is, playing the game with his head, you mesh that with how much synergy he has with Adam theilen, who plays with the same awareness, and you wonder why they didn’t like Ladd McConkey more.
  9. I’m giving him grace but he needs to be sat down for a game, possibly more tbh.
  10. They’ve got to stop playing pasty with Coker’s quad and get him pressed into action weve got the most player friendly forward thinking training staff in the league I’ve never seen a quad strain take this long, every injury we have takes the absolute maximum amount of time to recover for every player
  11. Jake Delhomme mentioned not so long ago that production matters a lot to Dan Morgan in his evaluation could be an important thing to keep in mind when weighing the pass rushers
  12. Sellers is nuts. Throws a great ball too, just needs time to cook as a passer. Legitimate Heisman candidate next season.
  13. it’s been pretty widely mentioned at this point that three loss teams have been in the twelve team field in a majority of seasons since the advent of the bcs. not even sure why people are still saying this at this point
  14. a QBs ceiling doesn’t have anything to do with how hard he throws the balls or whether he’s running QB power
  15. is it the 11 for 22 game im supposed to be fawning over orrrrr
  16. people will see the signs until it’s made crystal clear and then they will come up with Dave Tepper meddling conspiracies (which won’t totally be unfair to Tepper, but will be a coping mechanism in this instance nonetheless) anyone who has seen Bryce and Canales yup it on the sideline should have a hard time believing this is anything other than him trying to push the right coach buttons. It’s worked so they aren’t “fixing” it. seems pretty obvious that everyone is just in wait and see mode with Bryce. He either plays them out of a top pick and renders a new QB discussion pointless-or he doesn’t, and we’re talking QB. anyone trying to take more than that from the situation is projecting.
  17. lol nick Chubb? Classic case of overrating other team’s players because the grass is always greener. Chubb hasn’t even been on the field. Hubbard is a better player, you just don’t like him because he doesn’t have the media pedigree.
  18. during the week it’s “the panthers are the worst organization in sports” and on Sundays it’s “the panthers only won because they played a bad team” pick one
  19. totally agree, they need to Prepare the Roster by loading up on talent they can trade away to move up for a QB after they lock themselves in QB purgatory it’s time we try this fresh new approach
  20. A QB in the 1st round isn’t a risk, it’s an almost mathematical prerequisite for finding a franchise QB. Yes they can turn out bad but so can the LB or S that people are going to clamor for.
  21. they leak this every time they give a player away for nothing there’s a reason for it: when you foster an identity as a soft negotiating team it makes it harder and harder to dig your heels in. they just keep giving in though.
  22. they would have been better off keeping him. could’ve at least gotten a more honest appraisal of Canales offense, how Legette plays against against single coverage, and a no excuses sink or swim card for whomever they have at QB we’re just in the business of helping guys out.
  23. yeah op is a weird revisionist history . Offensive line is performing at a high level. They have the requisite amount of skill players. No superstars but certainly enough to win. It may have taken offloading some defensive talent to reinforce the offense but you can’t fix everything in one offseason and if you’re going to choose what to invest in in this league you’re always going to pick offense over defense and recent games compared to what the panthers have been since Cam hurt his shoulder are the demonstration of why. I mean it’s also an overreaction to the defense playing poorly. They had 7 starters out Sunday. There’s not a team in the league that has the depth to just weather the storm on that. Conversely you’d like a QB that doesn’t throw the ball away late. Andy Dalton has been Andy Dalton (the kind of QB okay the OP is advocating for) and it’s cost the team two games.
