He was never supposed to be a return man. He has had some clutch moments for us on third down, shows good hands and strength. Not very good speed, but I don't mind him at the bottom of the roster. I like him over cotchery actually seeing as he's improved every year and cotchery has only declined. My point is the average NFL team doesn't have a roster of 6 elite receivers. Your depth isn't supposed to have the same quality as your starters. Bersin isn't a terrible choice at the bottom of our roster.

You just contradicted yourself. Why wouldn't a 5th WR be on another roster? Do other teams not carry 5 receivers? He's no starter. But let's not pretend he wouldn't make the bottom of many rosters.

Mike Brown will make the roster as well. He looked impressive his rookie season racking up nearly 500 yards in only 11 games. By the start of the season I'm hoping for WR1 Kelvin Benjamin WR2 Jalean Strong WR3 Philly Brown/Ted Ginn/Mike Brown WR4 Boykin That corps with Olsen and Dickson has potential.

I guess that depends on your definition of draft class. He was considered a late rounder in the 2014 draft and we got him as soon as the draft ended. I mean, we can get technical if you want to pretend you didn't know what I meant....

I think this draft class has made us forget what realistic expectations are of rookie receivers. Remember Brown missed several games due to injury as well as the fact he was behind Jason avant for half the season and rarely saw the field. (Rivera is too damn loyal sometimes.) He looked great when he did see the field though (just not on special teams dear lord) I see a lot of potential for him going forward. (which is what I consider as great)

We got two great receivers in last year's draft class. Imagine two more this year and throw in one more decent FA WR and I'm ecstatic.

Anyone who knows a little about the cap and Saints situation knew this could be done no problem. Lol at the fans on their forum clowning people for "thinking the Saints were in a cap mess". They are in a terrible mess. This deal simply means one less free agent or one more veteran cut that will happen. my money is on one of their aging but serviceable guards getting cut along with several restructures. (aka pushing their problems even more into the future)

Yep. I was playing with their cap months ago and got them 70 million under the cap with those cuts. With a decent QB and their new LB they could shake up FA this season.
