  1. I don’t want Cam here because I feel sorry for him. I don’t mean fair as in “hand out”. He legit hasn’t had an opportunity for a real off-season with a team since he got healthy. Patriots signed him during a fuged Covid year. The next year he had the full off-season then they cut him to go with the rookie. Then he comes here not knowing the offense and without the time to develop chemistry and timing with receivers. Timing matters. Knowing the full offense matters. Cam with a full off-season with these skill players and new line wins more games than Darnold/PJ.
  2. For the record I would rather us shoot Darnold into the sun and give Cam a genuine off-season/camp and chance (that he really hasn’t had since returning to health). That a whole other discussion though.
  3. Corral is thin yes. Doubt he’s stronger than Howell. He is taller though obviously. I know it’s cliche at this point but Clausen was seen as a better prospect than these guys too. Last years heroic QB class all looked like poo. Although measurables say they have more potential but still. It’s just such a hard position to get right. Using the filter that the arm strength/accuracy is enough to make NFL throws, then the MOST IMPORTANT thing is between the ears. Does Darnold have more of that than the above two guys?
  4. Howell and Corral (excluding Willis because of level of competition and rawness) are just as fast or pretty close. Both their arms are close. They both can make every NFL throw. Corral has a much faster release. Howell has guts and a natural feel for moving a team down the field. Both look like better leaders easily. Even comparing college tape, Darnold isn’t head and shoulders better than these guys. There is just so much narrative influence on where QB’s go. Like I saw “tank for Howell” all over last year, then he loses tons of skill position players, still has a good year though the stats regress, and he’s not good anymore? I don’t buy it. Why was he so highly regarded last year? Just stats? He still has the same arm strength, same thick frame, same deep ball. Hell he showed to be a better runner. These guys could all be trash but wouldn’t it be funny if 2-3 of these guys become pro bowl talent. I’d laugh my ass off.
  5. Cam has done more good that any hater here has. I’d bet on that.
  6. I can understand someone preferring Neal…but upset? Hard to understand someone being upset.
  7. Year 3 is a big year for linemen. And although he hasn’t been dominant, what does our line look like without him…
  8. The closer we get to the draft, the more I think BPA at 6 for us is Jordan Davis. Defensive pick would piss off the fan base. Another DT would upset people too, but he (along with Neal) is a freak unicorn at a position we actually suck at. It makes so much sense for us. Brown would look better instantly too. Either way this top 10 is loaded with big guys and we should pick a lineman, whether offensive or defensive. Need lines up with BPA.
  9. Just need the Giants to be dumb enough to draft their pass rusher first at 5 lol.
  10. If this happens I hope I’m drunk by the time we pick. Passing on Neal will hurt my feelings.
  11. How did Teddy Bridgewater not show everyone that completion percentage without context is irrelevant…
  12. Well we don’t know that though. Too many narratives around draft time. For all we know Zappe might make 5 pro bowls. We just have game footage to go by, but most people watch highlight vids and pair that with repeating what espn guys say and then they come on the forum and act like “this guy sucks and this guy good.” Maybe Corral does blow every night with hookers. All I know is that his release is quick, he’s mobile, and has plenty of zip on his throws.
  13. The QB’s that pass my eye test are Corral, Howell, and Strong. Corral seems to have all the tools you want. You just wish he was a bit thicker based on the way he plays. Howell looks like he will just be a good football player who can will the ball down the field. A nice feel for the game. Don’t think he will lead the league in passing yards/accuracy, but I think his offenses will just score points. Strong just has a nice arm. It’s hard not to like the way he slings it. Deep ball is fire. Can make all the throws. His knock is that he is a statue, but I don’t think that will matter that much as long as he stays healthy. Good football player. These are the only 3 that I would be all on board with. Corral would have to be at 6 I think. Howell seems like late 1st early 2nd. Strong I really don’t know. I’ve heard 2nd round to day 3 projection. Willis is too risky imo. Pickett seems like good in college but would peak as a middling nfl guy.
  14. Vick is wildly overrated if he’s your comp for Willis, and you want to draft Willis that high. Vick was a terrible passer. He threw it hard and did exciting things with his legs, but that’s not going to get it done. People thinking Cam sucked as a passer have another thing coming if Willis throws like Vick.
  15. Why not answer the question (literally trying to be “aware”) instead of being an ass.
  16. I probably suppressed memory of Fields because I wanted him last year.
  17. It is admittedly very difficult getting excited for a QB prospect when we drafted the most physically gifted QB of all time lol. A decade earlier, Peppers did the same thing. We are supposed to be impressed with 6’4” 250? Gtfoh lol.
  18. Probably only Vick and Lamar Jackson fit that description lol. And Pj has a rocket…he just throws it to the wrong jerseys or it hits grass.
  19. Cute to type, but irrelevant. Could very well be the same thing. Lots of guys can run fast and throw hard in college. An NFL QB needs a little more than that.
  20. They were just more bros with Stafford and they hooked him up with the ideal location. Can’t hate on that.
  21. It’s wild that a Dak Prescott can fall to the 4th round. Legit size, mobility, production (in the damn SEC) and arm…while a guy like Willis is in talk for the top 10.
