  1. Some people just hold ignorant hate. Thanks for pulling these numbers.
  2. Yes, excuses are excuses. Excellent observation. I never held Lebron to MJ's standard. That being said, MJ is done, and Lebron is the best in the world now. Lebron hate kills me. Cleveland was relevant...Lebron leaves...they turn to poo and remain that way while he carries the Heat...Lebron comes back...Cleveland goes from pathetic to Eastern Conference Champs. Is he MJ? No, since it is impossible to completely replicate a human being and their achievements. But he is Lebron, the best player of his generation in the entire world and it isn't even debatable. Hate him or love him, anyone that disagrees either doesn't have a television or does not know basketball.
  3. Must not remember Mr. Volume Shot himself...Allen Iverson... Numbers don't tell the whole story my man. His supporting cast had the scoring ability of the Charlotte Hornets...
  4. It would be nice if people would stop hating on the best player in the world, but I guess that comes with the territory. I get disliking him. He annoys me at times. He has the worst "cry to the refs" face I think I have ever seen, but I am fully aware he is the best player and the only one that should be considered for the lead in another Space Jam.
  5. I'm not saying you should not talk about it, but I advise letting it go, as I have had to do with Biz. Otherwise you will let something you can't control piss you off... I also suggest a vacation to Miami like I just had. It was a blast, and I didn't give two sheets about sports for a week.
  6. Seriously guys, Cho and Cliff already said Batum is our shooting guard. They literally said that during a press conference.
  7. I think Lebron is more skilled than you give him credit for, however I agree with your post. An even better example would be Dwight Howard, who I believe is the true poster child of the athletic player who gets by while not developing skill.
  8. Scouts say he has less potential because theoretically a 19 year old has developed less physically and mentally. The issue is people tend to disregard how talented (or not) that same 19 year old is currently. People fall in love with an athletic freak with no actual talent, just because he is young and athletic. Sure, he could develop into an elite player, but it is a complete crap shoot. His actual potential might have him end up where Frank is now. Frank is 22 and shows an incredible skill level and feel for the game. I know it is a different game, but most football rookies are 21-23 and no one says they lack potential. Frank will continue to mature physically for another 5 years or so, and I see him expanding mentally as well. Will he improve as much as a guy like Myles Turner who is 19? Probably not... ...but then again, Frank is already "myles" ahead of Turner in his development. Sorry for the pun, but it was too corny not to type...
  9. ...anand Toronto just got him for 3 mil per year. No matter what anyone says, no one can convince me that letting Biz walk, especially for that price, was anything but moronic.
  10. I like how "heights are exaggerated" applies to Kemba but not Paul...
  11. Do not want. He has been irrelevant for awhile now...except with Shaq...and for all the wrong reasons.
  12. Didn't McGee win the top prize on that show twice? Lol.
  13. Good post. I am certainly not blind to Biz's limitations, but I am more forgiving of them since he is the age where many graduate college. Al being such a terrible defender with questionable effort certainly is a contrast to Biz who gave great effort. I see how that could cause many, including myself, to overvalue what Biz does, but until we add some shot blocking and rebounding inside, I will be disappointed in this move.
  14. I don't want us on "Shaqtin a Fool"...
  15. I recall Biz posterizing multiple people from catching lobs off pick and rolls. For those defending Al, how do you explain the improvement of this team, particularly the flow of the offense, when such an "offensive liability" like Biz was in the game? People need to see the big picture, including our front office. Detroit fielded a damn good team with Ben Wallace out there. Biz is not balanced, much like Big Ben, but he is elite in something; something that I believe was worth at least the 4 mil QO.
  16. Don't have room for another stretch big perhaps...but no room for a rim protector? Screw logic I guess.
  17. On top of it...how can a "defensive coach" not use this guy. Unbelievable. I would have rather jettisoned Clifford and his love for subbing players out right when they get hot...
  18. Terrible move. After a pretty solid offseason, this kind of ruins it for me. I just want to make sure I have this straight.. We draft Biz at 18 years of age, knowing he is a project with high upside, then let him walk at the end of his rookie deal... How foolish. Waste of a draft pick then. Why draft a project before he reaches the age where he starts putting things together? In Biz, I saw a player that really came into his own, particularly when called upon to start when Al was hurt. He is one of the better post defenders in the league and blocks everything in the lane. I honesty do not see us replacing him with an equivalent player, let alone one that is as affordable. I'm about as butt hurt as someone can be about this. Very disappointed.
  19. I read your comment as a slight against Laettner. Laettner was still a good player, so when you compared Frank's situation to Laettner's, you failed to slam Frank. Sure, I would rather have Webber than Laettner; I would also take Oak or Towns over Frank, but we weren't in a situation to draft them were we? All Frank did was go out there and beast every big he played against. Everyone knew they needed to stop him, but they couldn't. Sure Oak and Towns were freshmen, but they are both highly touted prospects, and Frank took care of them. Let's not forget that he had the foot speed and ability to win his matchup against WCS too...last time I checked, he wasn't a freshman, and he is projected as a premier post defender in the NBA. Since we drafted Frank, I rewatched both the Kentucky and Duke games, and against quality NBA bigs, with length, Frank won with an arsenal of post moves, outside shooting, and quick cuts to the basket. He might not be a perennial all star, but he will be able to play in this league. High floor is what I see, and unlike Cody, Frank does not lack confidence and aggression.
  20. Laettner had a few years where he was an 18/8 guy, with a few assists. Long time starter in the league. If Frank can do that I'll be perfectly content.
  21. The "highlight reel" link...is a link to a link that finally gets you to a video... Was this done for extra ad revenue for clicking multiple pages? That's the only reason this makes sense. I would rather you just tell us straight up. I don't mind clicking like 20 pages for you from time to time if that would help.
  22. Someone needs to take this guy's keyboard...light it on fire...then sabotage his employment to ensure he has no money to buy another one...
  23. I think I was initially butt hurt not over Winslow...but the fact that Mudiay was so close...just two picks before us. After some reports saying we were one of the teams looking to trade up for him, I really got my hopes up that he would be a Hornet. I think he is going to be a stud.
  24. After sleeping it off, I reminded myself that he actually isn't slow, he just isn't an explosive athlete, and honestly at 7'1", he doesn't need to jump 40" in the air. His footwork is outstanding. His prior point guard experience allows him to handle the ball in a unique way for a 7 footer. He can put the ball on the floor a take centers off the dribble and has court awareness to drive and kick. Not many big men can run off screens and hit jumpers...Frank can. He lacks length, but I believe his mobility and footwork nullify any concerns there. He outperformed every "NBA" big he went up against. He won't be a great defender, but since Al is already the worst defensive big I have seen in my life, I'm sure I can deal with Frank. Just give me a guy that stays in position and gives effort. Frank will do that. There is more, but I'm tired of typing on my phone.
