If we lose to NO and the Bucs lose out then NO wins the division
We cannot clinch next week.
Actually we can clinch. The Falcons have to lose to Arizona as well next week though.

This.
One of the last council members I would listen to.

Because the difference between his option price and franchise price is over $10 million (QB franchise tag is 155% of his option salary).
Not saying that I agree or agreed with the move, but that is why.

Can someone explain to me why Atlanta has a huge dead cap hit this year for trading Matt Ryan, but this hypothetical trade of Darnold wouldn't cause a similar hit for us? His entire salary is guaranteed and its just 1 year left.

I seriously doubt this is true. Only one of them can have the earpiece to hear the plays (note Cam having to awkwardly use the play sheet on his belt last game). I just don’t think it’s sustainable in the modern NFL.
PJ will probably have a limited set of plus kind of like Cam did last week.

Not a credible source but how would you guys feel about something like this? I think that is way more than we would get honestly if we did shop him
I would do this deal in a second. I don't think we could get anything for him.

There is ZERO chance we get rid of him. Crazy take. It costs us $26 million next year to get rid of him and $14 million to keep him.
-
Only under contract for the rest of this year... Will be interesting to see if he stays beyond that.

We have been playing few linebackers and a ton of D-backs all year, basically daring the other team to run at us and sending a ton of pressure at the same time. Dallas is built perfectly to counter that. We will match up much better with most other teams, including all of those in our division.

If we can get 6 starters out of this draft class I consider it mission accomplished.
Considering we started with just 8 picks and we also gained a 4th next year in the process, this would be a wildly successful draft if this comes true.

Pretty sure if we released him pre June 1 it would have been $20M dead this year (none next year). Post June 1 release would have been $15M dead this year and $5M dead next year.
Basically, we save $3 million vs the cap compared to releasing him.

It's like a 2 hour drive. Doesn't even take a whole day up to do it.

Everyone on Fox made us a lock. Hope that isn't bad luck.
Yep. Colin Cowherd had us as his upset pick earlier on fox though.

Getting off to a good start will be really important in this one. If we are playing from ahead, I can see us running away with it. But even at 5-0, our motto is winning ugly. This week will be no different. Panthers 20, Eagles 17.

I think it has to be inside 2 minutes and 4th down.
Something like that. I thought it was you had to be tied or trailing and under either 2 or 5 minutes in 2nd or 4th quarter.

hey refs, u can't advance a fumble for a TD.
Pretty sure you have to be down and it be under a certain amount of time on the clock.

Let's remember what this is: a road division game. Let's find a way to win and be happy with it!

Wow. awful punt

Can't decide if I want it to keep pouring rain or if I want it to clear up so we can score 50.

Torn meniscus, he's done for the year.
Source?

I watched the video. I'm willing to bet he has a hyperextended lateral ligament. The knee bended laterally, not posterior, I don't think this is ACL.... We'll likely all wait until he has his MRI
I sure hope you guys that don't think it is an ACL know what you are talking about!

Ask yourself if you were in the same situation and they offered you say, $5 million. Would you take the money?
$5million? Sure. I just think the credibility of the DA's statement (which is the only thing I'm aware of that indicates there may have been a settlement) should be questioned severely. I'm not accusing the DA of anything but keep in mind they are in a situation with all the reason in the world to try and save face and no consequences of doing so.

If he only paid 200k to make this headache go away I don't think you can take that as an admission of guilt but just a guy wanting this poo to he over
I don't know what a defendant would expect to get in a civil suit like this, but I imagine it would be significantly larger than that even with a not guilty verdict in criminal court unless it was proven that she pretty much had no case whatsoever.
If I was worth $21 Billion and owned the Carolina Panthers, I would…
