Vikings defense played lights out. Only offense the Hawks could muster was the heave that Lockett came down with.  To say Minn defense is even remotely to blame is just idiotic.

If you are going to sit there and build your team around defense, to the point that you are taking resources away from your offense, your damn defense best not blow 9+ point leads in the 4th. The Vikings reside in this boat.

One of the biggest travesties about last year's Superbowl was how Seattle's defense got left off the hook because of that Wilson INT at the one. It should have never came down to that.

Seattle allowed Brady to go up and down the field in the 4th and blew a 14 point lead.

If your supposed to be a defensive team...don't go blowing TD+ leads in the fourth.

This is exactly the reason why if the Panthers lose, unless the offense is turning over the ball, they should get the blame. If you are going to build around your defense. Then you die with your defense.

BTW, the same holds true for teams that dump a bunch of resources into their offense. i.e. the Colts, Packers, and Broncos.

EDIT: Minnesota defense was not really responsible for the FG as AP fumbled.

Dungy is such a toolbag it's laughable. Wilson was beyond terrible today and has never been good in the playoffs.

Well, there was that one game in Atlanta his rookie year where I have never seen a QB play as flawlessly in the second 1/2. He threw for like 300 and rushed for another 100 I think. The defense then allowed Matty Ice to beat them with like 25 seconds left.

Oh, and last year vs. us. I think Wilson had a perfect rating that game. Played fairly well in their first SB as well.

  3. Does anyone think its crazy to draft a kicker in the top 25 of the draft? How many games comes down to the kicker? All the OTAs, all the training camps, all the games, blood, sweat and tears, and all too often a kicker decides who wins and loses.

Hell, it could be argued that the Pats would have 3 less SBs if not for their kicker.

  4. See that is exactly how Romo got hurt vs. us. Holding onto the ball on third and long and trying to make something happen.

Cam Newton also got hurt twice this season doing the same thing. QBs have got to SOMETIMES stop trying to play superman, and get rid of the ball.

  5. I will say it again. This defense better be more stout than this. It is unbelievable to me that the front office can pour this much into this unit and this late into the season they are showing this kind of leakage.

If we are going to be a team that depends on our offense to win games. The LEAST the Panthers could do for Shula and Newton is actually build a talented offense.

  6. I am sorry. But why is there never any YAC in our offense? Like ever? On that 3rd down throw prior to the 3 series of throws by Cam, Cotch caught the ball and heading straight to the ground.

Why does everything in this offense come off the right arm of Newton? (Except for that crossing route that was called back due to penalty)

We have got to get some WRs/TEs/RBs that we can check the ball down to and have them run.

The offense needs to do the d a favor and have better drives late.

I like Southern hospitality but not with football.

This DAMN defense that the Front Office has dump a disproportionate amount of resources into need to learn how to so BLOWING double digit leads!

It is beyond pathetic for anyone to even suggest our offense needs to do more!

Offense has to help the D.

And this ladies and gentlemen is what is wrong with Panther's nation.

Whine about the offense not helping the defense in November...

Completely silent or even supportive of the Front Office dumping resources after resources into the defense.

Then state that the offense needs to help the defense out more...LOL!

To be fair the Winston is a rookie playing a divisional rival in their house and going into his first NFL over time game.

And on that play...Winston was without his top FOUR targets:

    Evans

    Jackson

    ASJ

    Murphy

LOL at the moronic huddle. But this is how they acted when Newton was a rookie so no surprise...

  10. All off season the Huddle supported our FO decision to dump resources into our defense at the expense of our offense...It is time for this DEFENSE to step up.

You guys also claim that Wilson is a horrible QB that shouldn't even be in the league. Yet somehow he forever is moving the ball on our "elite defense."

Don't look to Cam or this limited offense. Look to our multi million dollar defense and head coach..

  11. How can you blame the coaches for all the plays that were left out on the field? Cam and his WR's both need to get a lot better. There were some awful drops and some awful passes today. Thank God Cam made his best throws in the end zone.

Once again, where the hell were you in the off season: at the start of free agency and the draft; DEMANDING that the Panthers do more than just acquire a second round WR or bring in a Kick off return specialist?

Again, (idiotic) Panthers fans complaining in September when the games begin DEMANDING our offense score more than 24 points, but are COMPLETELY silent (even mocking) Panthers fans who DEMAND upgrades to the offense when something ACTUALLY can be done.

If you didn't say anything in March, April, and May...STFU now.
