  1. I've been browsing their forum since Monday morning and 9 out of 10 posters seem reasonable, but I don't know why everyone is saying the Camthers? I feel like it's the most lighthearted insult ever, or just an attempt to be funny? I have no idea..

Also, has a single Cardinals fan registered on the huddle yet?

  2. I've been browsing their various boards since Monday morning and these are the recurring things I'm hearing.

    1. All you have to do to win is keep Cam in the pocket (Perhaps in 2011)

    2. The Redskins have gained tons of confidence (Hate to break it to them that this is a bad thing)

    3. Kirk Cousins is becoming elite (Lol)

    4. Teh soft schedule though!

    5. The Redskins match up perfectly with the Panthers (Perfectly for the Panthers, not for the Skins)

    6. Apparently our defense is overrated?

    7. Cam isn't white and therefor can't beat the godly Skins.

They're really going to be down 1-3 CB's? How did that work out for the packers?

Jason McCourty was officially ruled out today. Perrish Cox and Blidi Wreh-Wilson are limited in practice today, but they both could sit out with hamstring injuries, especially with Tennessee playing next Thursday night. I could be wrong, but that leaves them with Cody Riggs, UDFA, Coty Sensabaugh and  B.W Webb.

lol TitansReport is a freakshow.   But yeah, a lot of Titan fans seem to be really underestimating the Panthers for some reason.   I have no idea why.  We've won 4 games in the past season and a half and you guys are 8-0.

    Yes..

And I should point out that when I said the Titans deserve to suck, I was referring to TitansReport. GoTitans is way ahead of them in football IQ. Panthers could easily be looking at a trap game and the Titan's do have some great players who could make it happen, but damn.. Those guys act like the games already over.

Yeah that's understandable.  Our OL is a work in progress to say the least.   Mularkey ran a lot of 2 & 3 TE sets last week so I expect to see more of the same this week.  Of course there's really no comparing the Saints front 7 to the Panthers.

Honestly, the W would be nice but it'd take a miracle for us to win our division at this point anyway.  So I'm mainly just hoping to see us put up a respectable fight against a top team.  It sucks to be out of it so early, particularly when this division is so bad and our roster isn't as bad our record indicates.  We lost 3 games by 6 combined points and Whisenhunt absolutely cost us the Indy and Buffalo games with idiotic playcalling at the end.  We very easily could be 4-4 right now and leading our division.

I commend you for being the first logical Titans fan I've run across.

You could easily be 4-4, but the losses to the Browns, Dolphins and Texans are ugly, ugly losses. I watched all three of those games and the Titans looked like a team that was very far from competing for a .500 record. Luckily you've moved on from Young, Locker, Mett and you have a QB who could develop into a top QB one day.

  6. Have you read the poo that's being said on the various Titans forums? These guys act like the tables are turned and they're the 8-0 team and we're the 2-6 team. They get violent if you even utter anything besides a Titans victory and they already think Mariota is the greatest QB to ever play. I feel sorry for Jags, Lions, Bills, Jets for decades of sucking, but this team truly deserves to fuging suck each and every season.

On "TitansReport" a few posters were talking about how they should "totally" drive to Charlotte whack Newton in the knees. It's been years since an opposing fan base has tried to belittle Cam's passing abilities, because he's proven himself to be a great pocket passer. The only reason it's even being brought up is due to the unbelievable drop rate that our receivers have.

Outside of Mariota having a decent rookie season, the only thing they had going for them was an above average pass defense, but that's not been the case lately and they could be down 1-3 CB's this week.

    Fug em.

  7. My issue with this statement is LeBron isn't allowed to create his own legacy. Every finals loss he has, what is the first thing everyone says? "this is why he'll never be MJ," "MJ was clutch, LeBron isn't," etc. The same people that say LeBron will never be Jordan are the ones with the constant comparisons. I'm 25, but the guy I loved watching growing up was Kobe. Yet anytime I'm having a conversation with someone about how I loved watching Kobe, someone decides to butt in and remind me that "he'll never be MJ." I wish it was ok to appreciate other players at this point.

Any great basketball player will draw comparison to MJ and LeBron isn't helping things along by trying to be like mike...Same thing with Gretzky in the NHL.

  8. It's probably going to feature LeBron James. Can't we have Kobe, Duncan, Davis or Curry? Why can't LeBron just create his own legacy instead of copying Jordan? Space Jam was my favorite movie as a child and I don't want to see the second one mucked up with James being in it. I'd rather see Adam Morrison's mustache take the starting role.

  9. The draft has been over for four days and many Hornet fans are still upset with the selection of Wisconsin center Frank Kaminsky over Duke forward Justise Winslow. Justise was obviously the best player on the board, however, was he the best player for the Hornets? The short answer is no. The Hornets are in “win now mode” and Kaminsky was one of the more NBA ready players in the draft. The key behind the Bobcats 2013-14 success, and the dominance of Al Jefferson, was Josh McRoberts’s ability to pass the ball and space the floor with his three point shooting. Who comes into the league with a similar skillet? Frank Kaminsky. It’s obvious the Hornets and Steve Clifford are trying to duplicate past success.

On offense, Charlotte gets an exceptional outside shooter, converting 42% of his 3-point attempts last season. Ideal skill set for the pro game. Impressive passer for a 7-footer with an unbelievable feel for the game. Kaminsky lacks ideal strength, but at 7’1 he makes easily makes up for it being much larger than the average NBA power forward, not to mention beating you with his skill and high basketball IQ.

On defense, Charlotte gets a player who’s defense was very average at Wisconsin. Footwork, lack of lateral quickness and weight are all negatives. Extensive work with strength and conditioning coach Matt Friia will be crucial to his success. Overall, he isn’t a true defensive stopper but can hold his own. Most of his flaws are coachable and can easily be band-aided by playing with the plethora of top tier defenders in Charlotte. We are less than a week away from seeing Kaminsky take the court in the NBA summer league and I for one will be closely watching his game.

Putting all of that aside, the Hornets drafted a player who’s ceiling is at the same level as Justise Winslow’s floor. Will this be yet another draft filled with regret and what ifs?

Kaminsky also made news this week for his comments made last year regarding the Bobcats.

While it’s not an ideal thing to say, and I must admit I was somewhat upset by his remarks at first, he wasn’t very far off course. The NBA is no comparison to the energy and passion of NCAA Basketball, or NCAA athletics in general. The fans are louder, games are always sold out, the rivalries couldn’t be stronger. Even though he did single out the Bobcats, the same thing could be said for a handful of other teams, maybe we should take it to heard and show up to more games?

    Welcome to Charlotte, Frank.
