I think Bryce is probably a very smart QB and understands the game well. But we’ve only had a few games where it felt like he took over. For the #1 pick it looks like he needs a lot of support to get going and for that reason I’m not sure he’ll ever meet that investment. If he could be top 10 at this point it would be a W. I also can’t gauge if his problems are purely physical or confidence driven due to perceived limitations. Against Tampa in the bank it looked Bama Bryce is coming on, then last week the passing game is abysmal.

Fitz has the volume stats but Steve Smith was a better player. Larry just got to pad his stats in ARZ being over targeted. Larry was targeted more Smiths career high targets over 9 separate seasons, never eclipsing 1500 yds. Smith is top 5 in 100yd games (ahead of Larry) and the only WR ever to lead the lead in YPG on a team dead last in pass attempts.

Brian Burns is a 6-4 candyass version of Everett Brown. Can’t stop the run or play disciplined ball. Jayce Horn is a top 5 CB in the NFL. Just wait until we actually have a real pass rush.

We also significantly improved in 2025 in TOP and 4th down conversion rate. That has no doubt helped the defense.

That may be true but I would trust Bryce over Darnold with the game on line. Darnold has the same weaknesses he always had.

Nah. Baker maybe but Bryce is way more clutch than Darnold. I won’t take that away from him.

I’m not excusing Bryce as the passing numbers were abysmal but it seemed like they were trying to play this game like the Rams game. The interior line got beat today and Chuba/ Horn essentially cost us the game. This was totally winnable. Defense came to play and Darnold was in prime position to choke this game away. What I wanna know is, if there were guys open and Bryce was too afraid to throw.

Bryce Young hugger or hater you have to agree today was abysmal. You can’t leave the defense out to dry like that with the effort they gave.
