Official Bills at Chiefs AFC Championship Gameday thread

Definitely doesn't bode well for the Bucs in the SB. Bills' OL is better than theirs and Allen is wayyy more mobile than Brady at this point. Chiefs pass rush had been underwhelming lately but they definitely have the talent to get consistent pressure like they have today. Frank Clark has been invisible before today but dominated the playoffs last year. If he and Chris Jones get going the Bucs won't have much of a chance, but we'll see... -

Is college football the same way with a handful of teams dominating every year? I don't even follow that closely to know that except that Bama is in the mix every year... I definitely watch NBA playoffs a fair amount, I do think that's exciting, but hard to get that into the regular season for whatever reason. Also, unlike the NFL, the games individually mean so much less. -

This is why you don't settle for FGs against the Chiefs. Thought McD would've learned that after seeing Ron consistently make the wrong decisions outside of that 2013 season... -

Never really been able to get that into it... I'll watch some of the big games at times but have never really been able to keep up with the players as they're constantly turning over every year and don't have any teams I particularly care about so it's hard to watch and follow. Maybe I'll get more into it at some point -

Fair enough. I've always liked the sport of basketball but the NBA has been terrible the last few decades with the same teams winning it every fuging year and the Hornets being absolute trash. Started to get a bit more into them this year but with how bad they've been that'll probably end at some point... Canes have been great though -
I think this is fair, but many of us are rightfully getting pretty damn antsy with the QB position, and I think it's an usual year where there are so many options available. 4 QBs in the draft who can be true franchise QBs and are worth a top 10 pick (which we have, hopefully, for the last time any time soon). Then very rare opportunities for veteran franchise QBs in Watson and Stafford, and maybe Rodgers or even Dak. I just don't think there's a better opportunity than now for us to get our franchise QB.

Sure, let's include him (I just don't think he'll be realistically available...)

Was one of the few bright spots for a stretch there, but been rough the last several games... Just when the team makes you think they might be heading in the right direction they start playing like absolute poo -

You could put the Hornets on, their play will put you right to sleep. -

Yeah but nobody around the league thought he'd be this good. Of course the Chiefs traded up for him and clearly thought very highly of him but even Reid has said he never imagined it'd turn out as well as it has; and if they knew he'd be this good they'd have traded up even higher to get him... -
The Carolina Panthers need to get either Deshaun Watson, Matt Stafford, Aaron Rodgers, or a QB in the top 10 in this draft in the 2021 offseason for it to be a successful offseason.

I can't blame any Panthers fans or the team for completely disregarding QB prospects (Mahomes, Watson) that draft... Cam was 1 year removed from an absolutely dominant MVP season. Yes he had the shoulder injury in late 2016 but nobody knew it would hinder him as much as it ultimately did and you don't move on from him in that situation. -

I agree but I also thought that the 2013 Broncos were a lot better than the Seahawks that year and that we were a lot better than the Broncos in 2015... Anything can happen and I will really hope that the better team (the AFC team) wins in 2 weeks but I won't assume anything. -

Bills should be running the ball here. Whether they score a TD or not they don't want to be giving Mahomes the ball back again with even like 40 seconds left... -

I disagree with that, in a sport where teams roster 53 players and start 22 with many more contributing consistently you can't pin team success on 1 player. Dan Marino has a legit argument for GOAT QB (or at least greatest of his generation with QBs across generations being hard to compare). Plus I do think that Mahomes will get multiple more championships, starting this year. -

Really nice play by Allen there. Came damn close to getting lit up from behind but a damn nice job staying in it and hitting the receiver. -

If Mahomes stays healthy and Reid and company can continue to build a solid team around him, he will go down as the GOAT no discussion. Definitely big ifs, especially as Mahomes has already dealt with several smaller injuries the past few years, but I've never seen any player on this guy's level. Not even Rodgers at his absolute best. -

If Chinn can keep developing I think he could be a potential option to matchup with Kelce. No clue what the fug to do about Hill and we'd need this DL to get to an elite level to pressure Mahomes. But I agree, the Chiefs are the team that every other team in the league has to go through if they want to win the SB any time soon. Until proven otherwise anyways... -

It's actually pretty fuging loud in KC considering how few fans they have relative to max capacity. I'd say it gives them a bit of a home-field advantage that most other playoff teams didn't have this year. -

I'd definitely be in on Rodgers. Obviously he's even shorter term than Stafford and ideally you get a young franchise guy either in the draft or Watson, but damn if Rodgers wouldn't make us an immediate contender. -

Maybe but Reid does have a bit of a recent track record of going to prevent D too early and letting teams get closer to being back in the game. Hasn't seemed to bitten him in the ass enough for them to lose those games but seems like a lot have been much closer than they should've been because of it. After years of Rivera doing it, it's one the things in sports that I detest the most when I see teams doing it. -

Yep. He was only 120 yards behind Diggs for leading the league in receiving yards this year, and that's with him resting in week 17... As a fuging TE. That's unheard of. Combined with the TDs and blocking, he's easily up there as a top 5 offensive weapon in the league if you ask me. -

Allen has thrown 2 balls now that were easy picks dropped. Lucked out there. Along with the 2 bad long sack/grounding. I still think he'll settle in in this game and make things interesting but rough start for him so far. -
