I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.

Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.

Is what it is for now, if we can keep building on the momentum of the past few months and have consistent success that’ll change. And as we’ve shown tonight, we can shut them up. I don’t care one bit who we get in the playoffs so long as we make the playoffs. Games like tonight go a long way to making that a reality but it’s still gonna be a battle with the race for 5-10 seeds extremely tight and other teams playing well too.

The league is incredibly fluid and regardless of what they do at expansion (which is a few years off and standings may look different anyways) there will be years where one conference is way more stacked than the other. fuging Detroit and Cleveland doing us no favors. 76ers without Embiid I would call a gimme too. But he may be back by then. Still no Maxey or George though so we should be favorites either way. But yeah we’ve got some real tests ahead. I’m hopeful though as we’ve been beating plenty of good/great teams for a while now. Knicks kinda suck on the road, we’ve whooped the Celtics once, Pistons may not have Cade and I’m sure our boys want revenge for that bullshit earlier this year. And honestly all that aside I think we can beat anyone on any night.

The only team over .500 that the Hawks have beaten in their last 13 wins is the Orlando Magic. They've got some really tough ones coming up and I imagine we'll be able to gain some ground on them too. We have the tiebreaker over them. If we take care of business and win all the games we should win and then roughly split the others I think we're in good shape to get a top 8 seed. Orlando and Philly are in freefalls that have no end in sight. Heat have been as well but they have the tiebreaker over us and as much as I hope they don't, I fully expect them to bounce back. 44-45 wins is realistic for us. 42-43 might get us the 8 seed but more likely 9-10 seed and a tough road to the playoffs. IMO a winning season period is a huge huge huge success for this team. Hopefully we can do even better and get in the playoffs.

Raptors blown out by Phoenix. Man this final stretch is gonna be crazy. Seeds 5-10 in the east are separated by 2.5 games… Hawks only team “hotter” than us, and I think they’re bound to come back down to earth with a pretty tough schedule to close out the season. We have some tough games too but ones that I think are very winnable, and still some very very easy games — which we have been winning consistently in 2026. Don’t think we’ve had a bad loss against a team we should beat since the Pacers in either very early January or late December
