  1. fug no. He’s just another Teddy/Sam and we’d be throwing away a pick for no reason.
  2. It was reported before we were taking calls, never actively shopping him. Which makes sense.
  3. Don’t misconstrue his media appearances with how he’s perceived by players. All his players love him and are very vocal about it.
  4. 49ers meeting has already been debunked which makes the rest of his post meaningless
  5. Chinn and Horn should be off limits. I love Burns but he’s going to get a massive contract soon and there’s a decent chance he doesn’t live up to it so I’m ok letting him go. Chinn is he heart and soul of this D though and his position doesn’t get paid crazy amounts so should be easy to keep long term. Horn still has 4 more cheap years on his deal and looked like a shutdown number 1 corner before the injury. Can’t give that away. Burns or Brown, sure but still ideally keep Burns too
  6. Agree but the Texans are likely adamant on young proven player(s). Wish it could be Brown though
  7. Hate the idea of giving up Burns and Chinn but keeping all our future 2nds and 3rds is a plus. Earlier reports were three 1sts, two 2nds AND two players.
  8. Both sides want it to be over ASAP, it hurts Watson a lot too to sit another year so if the Texans threaten that Watson will have to give at least a little bit. Both sides will likely have to give a little bit.
  9. Gonna be a tough sell for the Texans to trade him in the AFC though
  10. @Verge has plenty of credibility. She has been spot on with the draft for years and has been increasingly correct about non-draft stuff too. One of the best posters here. Not sure why you care about the pro-nouns, they have nothing to do with the information she provides
  11. Yeah I know so. Does that mean he’s worth this return with still some potential that he could be suspended or have more legal issues in the future? No probably not. But he is absolutely an elite franchise QB up there with Mahomes, Allen, etc.
  12. Lol dude get outta here with that, Watson is on another friggin planet than Cousins
  13. I get why some may hate the idea of what we'd be giving up but at the end of the day we haven't really had a single thing to be excited about with this team in years. I want it to happen just so I can look forward to Sundays during the NFL season again.
  14. If we sign Armstead, the Aints would be wise to sign Greg Hardy now that he's out of the UFC. Dude literally racked up like 5 sacks in 2013 against Armstead...
  15. Eric Fisher was pretty good at one point but that reeks of Matt Kalil 2.0 for us. Please no unless it's a 1 year cheap deal or something.
  16. I think it's the opposite. We have plenty of cap space and plenty of ability to clear up cap space (Watson restructure/extension easily brings his number down this year, shipping out Darnold, etc.). I would think it's encouraging to Watson to see us spending in areas to improve the team, especially on OL. A top guard and top LT in free agency would definitely help convince me if I were Watson.
  17. Corbett signing makes it more likely we get Watson if you ask me. I’m sure he’ll like the investments in OL
  18. The biggest and most important question in this whole situation by far: @Zod will the Huddle hold up once the decision is made, whether it's us or the Aints?
  19. McClain, @Verge, plenty in Panthers media and others have all said Watson waiving for the Panthers is no issue. It'll all come down to compensation for the Texans, which we seem to be leading in at this point...
  20. yeah he's clearly getting fed from someone in the Aints org who is very confident in their ability to get Watson, which ultimately likely means nothing. his like 10 straight tweets about how great the Aints are for this deal made it obvious
  21. I think the asterisks make it pretty clear that it could absolutely change depending on the outcomes of meeting(s) today...
