  1. What is so hard to understand about this? No one attended the funeral and Jerry Richardson (the greatest owner in all of sports who always does the morally correct thing like firing his sons and blackmailing charlotte) did not personally reach out to him. He never said no one in the organization reached out, he said Jerry Richardson didn't. Ron Rivera and David Gettleman very well may have reached out to him. If people find it petty that he is upset that the owner of the Carolina Panthers can reach out to a 13 year old fan who is trying to find a team to root for, but cannot reach out to him when his mother dies then I am not sure what else can be said to you. The team is clearly in the wrong.

Richardson's business decisions (one of which was made under the influence of drugs related to open heart surgery) and how he treats a player that he, by all accounts, loved aren't really comparable

  2. Come on man, no one is going to use the death of their mother to lie to make people look bad. If DeAngelo said that then there is no chance anyone reached out to him. Jerry is very good to those in his inner circle. Steve smith was in his inner circle.

I wouldn't think so, but I have to choose which one I believe happened. I believe the Panthers did reach out to him. Maybe they didn't reach out to him as much as he thought they should, but there is no chance that they completely ignored the death of his mother.
  3. DeAngelo told Molly Grantham of WBTV that the Panthers did not reach out to him when his mother died. I don't know about you, but I find it very hard to believe that neither Jerry Richardson nor Ron Rivera reached out to him. I don't want to call him a liar about something like this, but that's incredibly surprising given how loyal Rivera was to him and how much Richardson loves his players https://twitter.com/mollygrantham/status/570029385996242944
