  1. 1. Fields 2. Lance 3. Sewell 4. Pitts 5. Slater
  2. This is assuredly the plan. I doubt Sewell is there, but Slater should be. I might even put a bet on Slater --> Panthers. This just makes so much sense to me right now. Not ruling out Darisaw either though, apparently we are very high on him. If that's the route though I hope we'd try to work out some sort of trade back.
  3. Dude literally if either of them are there I'll be running laps. Either would just be a franchise altering addition.
  4. I highly, highly, highly doubt he is the long term answer. But there is at least enough there to where I can talk myself into this move. When I think of my ideal QB prototype for today's NFL, it would actually look a lot like Darnold from a physical perspective. Good size, enough athleticsm, creative/playmaking mindset that allows to make things happen out of structure, plus arm. But his decision making and accuracy have been really rough so far, but maybe, just maybe under a better supporting cast and coaching staff he can turn it around.
  5. I’ll be you any amount of money at least one of Wilson, Jones, Fields or Lance is starting in five years
  6. Why do people call him a project? He has all the tools now. Seems like a narrative simply tied to the small school that he played at. He might need a year. MIGHT.
  7. Pretty much this. Yes, he probably isn't the answer. But would I be totally floored if he one day was producing as a top-10 QB in the right system with talent around him? I don't think so. Sure - we'd all love the next Mahomes, but the chances of that player ever coming along are extremely rare. There's just enough there with Minshew to intrigue me, I'd give a fourth without hesitation. Might could be talked into a third, wouldn't go higher than that, though.
  8. Fair point, but I’m sure he feels like he should have a chance to start somewhere. His rookie deal has to be up soon, right? Jags might take a mid round pick for him because once he’s an FA he’ll sign somewhere that gives him a chance to start. Jags could of course look at it as a chance to gain an asset to build around Trevor.
  9. This is the dark horse QB option I would like to bring in. Similar stats to Teddy last year just like five less INT’s. Same number of TD’s in less games. He’ll actually push the ball down the field and has a bit of athleticism to make plays off platform. Honestly there are QB’s far worse than Minshew that have starting gigs - and he’s about to be relegated to #2 as Jacksonville gets Trevor. I’m not saying he’s the long term answer, but he’s without a doubt better, more exciting, and cheaper than Teddy. I’d offer a fourth and maybe even a third, tbh.
  10. Hell no to Parsons. Awful positional value and the details that came out about what he did at Penn State in terms of hazing are absolutely disgusting. Don't tell me poo about building a strong, winning culture and then go out and draft guys like Parsons.
  11. Yeah, because you surrounded said QB without a single good receiver and for like, the last six years of his career no one good to protect his blindside. We have talked this to death so there's no point in addressing it again. But Cam was absolutely elite and we ran him into the ground. We had an elite franchise QB and failed him, which is one reason I fail to get too worked up about where we currently find ourselves.
  12. We literally had Cam Newton and wasted him and maybe ruined his career for failing to build around him. What are you talking about we deserve a good QB. QB purgatory is exactly what we deserve.
  13. It's almost like we truly thought we were players for Watson, turns out he's a scum bag which totally altered all of our plans. It's fine, you'll have more chances to find a QB. Honestly, there's like five good QB's in the NFL. The rest of the batch are just average and can fluctuate on a year to year basis. Focus on building up the strongest roster possible, the QB will come. Fine they didn't give up two firsts if they weren't in love with any of the options.
  14. I'm blaming Ron/Hurney here more than I am Rhule. We had a generational QB and for eight years failed to properly build around him. We deserve QB purgatory imo.
  15. Hahah listen, I truly think you know someone. I just can’t imagine SF has botched the eval this badly. I’d love for you to be right, I just can’t imagine
  16. I’ll bet any sum of money this is not the case
  17. When is the last time a second round QB was good
  18. Gonna be insane talent that falls to us, I dread another year of Teddy also but I really can’t say I’m upset they didn’t yolo pay this price if they weren’t in love with the options.
  19. I’d actually like Gardner if the price is reasonable, there are teams winning with far worse these days. People need to calm down, there’s like five good QB’s in the Nfl these days. Other guys that “win” do so because the surrounding roster and coaching is good. Just take an elite talent and focus on roster construction and make your move in a year or two. I’m sick of watching Teddy too but I can’t say I’m upset they didn’t pay this price if they weren’t in love with the options.
  20. You guys are getting it wrong. Every insider has Lance going #3 and projects that he’s the guy SF covets. Leaving Fields, who the Falcons will surely draft. They for damn sure wouldn’t deal with a division rival lmao
  21. I love how you bring up positional value, and I whole heartedly agree. I have been adamant on here that you spend first round picks on one of five positions: OT, WR, QB, DE, CB. That's it. That's the list. I don't care about the rest of your roster - you only invest in one of those positions when you're picking first round. Which is why I hated, and still don't like the Derrick Brown pick. Should have taken Wirfs. Alas, the exception is generational talents at other positions. Quinten Nelson, Luke Kuechly, Aaron Donald, etc. I truly think Pitts is a generational TE prospect, and that's not a label I toss around lightly. He's not solely a TE either, he lined up at WR plenty for the Gators. He's a matchup nightmare for defenses, and truly could be a Gronk/Gates-tier TE. He's worth it if we can't draft one of the four QB's.
