Certainly is interesting and creeps the door open (no pun intended) for Hardy's case...which might make him less likely to sign a one year Imma good boy deal with the panthers (other reasons panthers may not bring him back notwithstanding).

Again, I don't disagree with you really. And the histrionics comment was in reference to my future reactions to 1 of 100 stories between now and the season.

I agree with what you're saying just not what you think the article is advocating. But I didn't write the article so I surely won't defend it more than three times. Seems to me like we are on the right track but there's plenty of time for histrionics.

generally young free agents 26ish are the ones that cost the most. So with two more years of drafting, the resigning/restructuring, some of the dumps in the article, we won't be at 60 million but we will be in a very good spot AND be able to go after big name FAs. I thought the article ended with the point...2015 is not the year CAR spends but 2016 likely will.

Basically I don't disagree with you but I read it that CJ would be reworked to a modest deal and the 60 million dollar number is simply a max. While not all the moves suggested are right or will be done, the perhaps more important number was the 19 players under contract in 2016. That's a reflection of flexibility. The opposite of the Saints. And that makes me feel like we are trending up.

I think calling out the organization and calling out your teammates is two different things. From what little I've actually seen reported on it, I think he's calling out both. While that is a loud statement about how I assumed the organization operated, it is an even louder statement about who he must be as a teammate. In my never to be humble opinion. But in the end, while I am emotionally invested in this team, I need to be reminded that I shouldn't personally be invested in the players, coaches and others as it is an entertainment business. DWill reminded me. And for that I thank him.

Yeah that 60 million number sure does jump out at you doesn't it? Especially when you consider how young the team would be.
