  1. I don't see how that's relevant. I don't think either one of them is a game manager. Both were asked to do very similar things in the passing game last year including the amount of downfield passing they did(Teddy actually had slightly more completions of both 20+ and 40+). Cam is asked to be a pivotal part of the run game where Teddy is not, but in terms of their role passing the ball they are very similar and you can't call Teddy a game manager and not call Cam one.
  2. Assuming you were asking if he plays outside or in the slot, the answer is he is fully capable of both and has done so throughout his career. He doesn't have the same speed and quickness he used to but he still gets separation due to extremely smooth and precise route running.
  3. You realize Cam and Teddy had almost identical stats across the board, right? If Teddy played game manager then Cam did too.
  4. Hopefully, WR although he might be an upgrade at LT so you never know
  5. You're correct although that would be a little unusual. It's entirely possible Gettleman and Jennings agent negotiate the terms in Phoenix and send the contract to Greg to sign in Charlotte so he can have the photo op and talk with the media. I just think that would be unlikely. I'm guessing Jennings already had his physical done just to get that out of the way.
  6. Unless Gettleman stayed behind or something, I would expect he and most other Panther officials(as well as all the agents) to be in or on their way to Phoenix for the owners meetings. I'd be very surprised if we saw a signing this week. Not saying he isn't signing here but the timing doesn't really work for a signing right now.
  7. It's really like $2-3M, but you're are correct its not too much. $1M base in the first year and $5M signing bonus on a 2 year contract means his cap hit for 2015 would be $3.5M. That's easily affordable for the Panthers. In 2016, the cap opens up so we are well prepared to deal with a bigger hit from him. If Dave decides he wants him, he can offer $6M per year without much stress at all which should be around the top of the range teams will offer him. The money is there if Gettleman wants to use it.
  8. I will say with 100% confidence we are not keeping KK and Stars snaps down to lower their price 2 years from now. It's so they stay fresh. Tired legs get pushed out of the way. OL don't get rotated so you are at an advantage with constant rotations.
  9. It may not be his last contract, but it's one of the last few big pay checks he will receive. He's only got a few years left to make the money he will need for the rest of his life. Absolutely don't blame a guy in his position for trying to get as much money as possible. If it's a star player quibbling over a few hundred thousand when he's made $80M already then sure criticize him, but Ball should be trying to get as much money as he possibly can while he still can. One injury and his career could be over at his age and skill level.
  10. Well, that agent is earning his 3%. Leaked the deal and got another team interested for probably more money.
  11. The agent definitely leaked it trying to get more money. You know that didn't come from the Panthers. The front office has been air tight about leaks since Gettleman took over.
  12. Apparently that was when they tried him at Safety. He was a complete failure at that position but was much better when he went to Jacksonville and switched back to CB.
  13. Went on IR due to a torn biceps. Started every game he played in Jacksonville.
  14. McCoy has previously made some overtures on twitter to get Hardy to Tampa. He also did the same with Derrick Morgan. It appears he is a much better player than recruiter.
  15. Patriots - Revis, Browner Seahawks - Bennett, Avril Ravens - Boldin Giants - Rolle Last 4 Super Bowl winners have had a significant free agent signing in their starting lineup that played a major role in them winning the championship. Adding 5-6 guys in FA is typically a very poor plan but adding one or two significant free agents to supplement your team is an extremely successful strategy.
  16. Over $6M per year likely means a 4th round comp pick. 5th rounder if it's less.
  17. You're right. My mistake. Not sure how I messed that up. That does make me feel a little better about him going to Dallas.
  18. NFC South plays the NFC East in 2016 by rotation.
  19. Contract will need to be at least $9M per year to get a 3rd which is very very unlikely. I'm hoping for a 4th at this point. We are going to play Dallas in 2015 and 2016. It's better than in the division but I was really hoping an AFC team would jump in.
  20. They should totally go after Andrew Luck! He's gonna be a free agent too!
  21. I think you misread. What he actually said was "$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$."
  22. What's the story there? He burn a lot of bridges in Oakland?
  23. Murray, yes, but he is nothing like McFadden at all in my opinion.
  24. It's better for them to believe the opposite of what you're actually doing. Doesn't matter which strategy you employ.
  25. Stew could definitely be a June 1st cut next year if he has another injury plagued season so it makes sense. He needs to be healthy all season and play like he did down the stretch last year to even be able to be remotely comfortable about being on the roster in 2016.
