  1. STRENGTHS: Looks the part of an NFL safety with broad shoulders, long arms and a tapered, athletic build. Cognizant defender that reads the eyes of quarterbacks and frequently gets a jump on the ball because of his diagnosis skills, making him faster on the field than he may prove during workouts. Has a knack for being in the right place at the right time... Two game-saving interceptions among his nine career picks.

Generally a reliable open-field tackler and flashes big hitting ability. Good ball skills. Times his leaps well and shows good hands and body control to contort in space. Four-time academic all-conference selection.

WEAKNESSES: Traditional in-the-box safety that lacks the agility and straight-line speed preferred for deep coverage responsibilities in the NFL. Reliant on reading the quarterback's eyes and breaking downhill on passes and struggles to recover if he guesses wrong.

Comes in hot and a bit out of control, at times, in support and lacks the flexibility in his hips to change directions quickly, leaving him vulnerable to nifty ball-carriers. Forced to grab hold with his arms and NFL backs will be able to break his arm tackles.

Missed the entire 2013 season with tendinitis in his knee, which obviously will require careful investigation from NFL doctors. Suspended for three games in 2012, reportedly for violating drug tests.
