Do you think the QB coach is the one watching film and going over playbooks with these guys for hours a night and in the offseason? Nope. Its the other QB's in the room. Darnold had one year with a veteran QB in the room. Darnold has a great arm but doesn't seem like a ton between the ears. Sure, I doubt they could learn more from a dude with a Super Bowl MVP with 4-2 playoff record or the Harvard dude with 35,000 passing yards as backup than they could from Darnold.

No one is thinking Foles or Fitzpatrick are taking us to the promise land. But would you rather a rookie learn the ropes from a QB that has never won at the NFL level, never been on a winning team (Darnold), or from a guy that led his team to a Super Bowl and has a winning record (Foles) or from a 17 year veteran and probably the smartest man in the NFL (Fitzpatrick)?

He was a bad head coach. He was a good offensive coach in GB and NY. That's how he got a head coaching job. Same with Wilks. He got fired as head coach, then fired again next year as DC when their head coach got fired and had to go to college to get a job, yet everyone here sings his praise.

Foles has been in the league for 10 years, won a super bowl, and has a winning record as a starter. Not saying I want him as our starter, but would be a perfect mentor to Corral. Ship Sam off to someone that has a solid QB but needs a decent backup and pay part of his salary to go away.

That’s not going to happen in training camp. Sam isn’t good under pressure but they can’t even lay a hand on him in camp and won’t play enough in preseason to get the yips. Corral will get his chance week 8-10 if Sam is floundering. Sam would have to still be completely shell shocked from last year to lose the job in TC.

Some forget about the first 3 games of last year. He actually looked like a real QB. 300yds passing, low ints, running TD's, CMC and wins. And then the 5 sack Cowboys game destroyed him. And lost CMC. And the downward spiral went straight to the bottom of the toilet. Not saying he plays like a 3rd overall pick behind a line like this BUT he has at least shown some ability before the line fell into disarray (and the loss of CMC). He definitely isn't good enough to play at a high level on his own but with a good line and weapons, he might be serviceable.

It will cost Rock Hill more to NOT get it done than it would to do their part. Tepper will sue RH for his loses (already said to have spent like 200million on construction). If that happens, he gets his loses from the city in a lawsuit and takes his facility somewhere else and sits on the land so they never can collect anything from the property taxes. York County is likely going to step up and fill in the gap to keep Tepper from suing RH because they still want a piece of the pie and then York County will deal with Rock Hill (IMHO).
