Time to put the Elf on the shelf?
MillionDollarCam replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn’t say he’s (Ekwonu) the problem either but I think for Baker’s sake, it’s in his best interest if Ekwonu plays guard this year. Garrett beat Ickey twice (consecutively) and our coaching staff continued to leave him on an island. I personally don’t trust our staff to make the right adjustments to help Ickey out and in turn, it could get Mayfield murdered. -

Think the offensive line as a whole needs to be reshuffled. Ickey isn’t ready for the speed of the NFL yet, kick him inside until he gets the hang of things and kick Elflein to the bench. Christensen - Ekwonu - Bozeman - Corbett - Moton -
Oh for sure, no argument from me there.

Hahaha, hopefully he lasts all year for you.

She’d rather be in Tampa.

The field looked nice and it didn’t rain, forgot to mention that.
-
In for another rough season, that’s for certain.
-
Glad ol’ buddy got everyone riled up in here just to dip out…

Could have been, but then we as fans can ask why Bozeman is sitting on the bench.. which is another coaching blunder. And there are still relatively safe play calls like sweeps and screens that aren’t as easily defendable as to inside draws.
-
Well yeah, but that would require the staff to put the ball in the air which they obviously didn’t want to do. Just really hated the play calls on that last series. Just seemed way too conservative, the type of conservative we used to blast Rivera for.
-
Doesn’t have to be RPO, a delayed draw could have been highly effective in that scenario. Hell, you can even run a jet sweep in that situation with D.J. That whole instance was horribly managed.

McCaffrey came out unscathed even though the coaching staff stupidly had him go airborne for a TD instead of using that big bruising back that they acquired in the offseason. Oh, and Xavier Woods, I thought he played well.

It’s sad because those people can also vote… scary.

Who, the Panthers or Browns?
-
Not a bad idea if you don’t telegraph what you are doing by having Baker under center. While Elflein did have one bad snap when Baker was in shotgun, most of his snaps were much better when Baker was in shotgun rather than under center. Not to mention, the ball has to be snapped regardless of if it’s a run or pass. Elflein still had to snap the ball two more times when they ran McCaffrey right up Elflein’s backside.

Kind people help those in need, obviously, you are in need.
-
You’re right, unfortunately, those calls are out of our control.
-
If we’d have played a clean game I’d have my pitchfork ready as well, with the we played… it ain’t worth it.
-
Clearly you have a reading comprehension problem, send me your email, I’ll get you hooked on phonics.
-
Agreed. It sucks that there were blown calls but poo happens. Still think we should have gone for the TD and not left the game up to the refs… but hey, that’s just me.
-
I’d say it was more of a train… Rhule fuged us and the refs finished it off.
-
Don’t think anyone is arguing that, call was blown, everyone has to move on and then go make a play. Brissett hit Peoples-Jones for 13 yards and Cooper for 9 yards after the roughing the passer call. We still had a chance to make up for the shitty call and we didn’t.
-
Leave no doubt means you score a TD on the final drive and don’t run two draws up Elflein’s ass and have him botch the snap on the other play.
-
I honestly don’t even know who he is but he’s clearly ready to kill some referees it appears.
-
Tom Brady and Belichick aren’t with the Panthers unfortunately.
