  1. I’m thinking more so the players that we would have past scouting on and Fit likely dove into a bit on. Sea’s line has been notably bad but doesn’t mean you can’t find a diamond…or let’s say Kay’s clearance jewelry in the rough lol.
  2. And one more being Bobby Hart in Buffalo. He started the last 3 seasons in Cinci at RT and played along side John Miller. Could be vouched for by John and pulled in as a decent pickup. Unsure how good he is though.
  3. LB Joel Iyiegbuniwe in Chicago is interesting having high hopes but hasn’t shown up really. They brought in Ogletree who’s getting rave reviews and could be a casualty to consider for depth.
  4. This article has some good insight pulling from each teams’ fan sites on their best/most notable players to potentially get cut: https://www.turfshowtimes.com/platform/amp/2021/8/27/22643234/projected-best-available-players-53-man-roster-predictions-for-every-team There is one I think stands out on the OL front: Jamarco Jones OT/G Seattle He could be a decent add that could definitely be a good depth piece. Has starting experience. Nothing awful and Fit could have done a fair bit of work there bringing him in from his time in Seattle. Versatile depth. LT 4 years at OSU, solid guard, played RT and RG most recently. Any catch y’all’s eye? There’s some interesting LBs on it I’ll make a follow up post for.
  5. Strategic urban planning and land management is needed to shift people away. I should note: New Orleans has lost 50% of its population since the 1960s much like the old industrial midwest cities in Milwaukee and Detroit. It takes a communal effort with companies and individuals to move over time which is in fact happening. As a someone in city planning and architecture, I can say that these cities will diminish and shrink over time. The more interesting opportunity/bright side is in their blight and shrinkage, identifying how to reconfigure things. For the gulf, this includes the infrastructure and property that will be more marsh/uninhabitable land. Measures to properly mitigate brownfield sites that will be underwater over time. Lot's of factors. I hope to hell the people down there stay safe.
  6. I think Zylstra gets cut for one of the younger guys. Maybe Kirkwood sneaks on too.
  7. Quick takes: LT: We went from Okung/Scott to Erving/Brady C. Wish we tried to upgrade here rather than just fill. Erving isn't awful but it's him next to Elflein (bad) that makes the entire left side super shaky. LG: It is here where they view Elflein as an upgrade to Daley. Daley went into 2020 as our starting LG. This year he's behind Elflein. Elf is obviously not good so I just don't see what they see. Should be Dennis. Center: Yuck. No words. We should have figured out a good Paradis insurance policy. Seems the G/C in Elflein is what they wanted but you would think there were better options. RG: Miller/Brown is okay. Miller looked bad against PIT but he's been the most reliable guy since the start of last season along with Moton. Brown is a force; could be the long term answer. RT: Moton is secured. This is a check My question is who moves up first? Will Brady hop Erving, Daley supplant Elf, or Brown replace Miller. And what is the backup plan at center? Just way too shaky for my comfort level. I truly think we have guys to make a decent line so I'm hoping Rhule doesn't stay stubborn if the results are bad. Brady-Daley-Paradis-Brown-Moton could be entirely respectable (minus Paradis)
  8. I'm cool staying pat but it will be CRAZY if we land him somehow. I'd personally rather land Howell or Rattler and not lose more draft capital for a QB. Or that Carson Strong. That deep ball of his is a thing of beauty.
  9. LT: Christensen LG: Daley Center: Paradis (but sign a G/C off waiver wire) RG: Brown RT: Moton Let’s just let it fly with Brady at LT.
  10. CJ Beathard is a very good backup to have and outplayed Minshew IMO. Also like Hurts more than Gardner so interested to see what happens to Jalen. Thought he could have a Tyrod type career. Moderate success but not a consistent playoff winning QB.
  11. I mean Paradis has always played pretty poorly. We should really consider Daley at LG. I mean he was our starting LG going into last year. Brown at RG if Miller struggles. center…waiver wire Daley>Elf Deonte>Miller (in time)
  12. I just don’t want 2 rookies on one side. Would prefer: Brady-Daley-Paradis-Brown-Moton but don’t think Elf and Miller have lost their spots (yet) so it’s: Moton-Elf-Paradis-Miller-Brady C but Daley has an in right now if Miller or Elf are benched. Then comes Brown after that.
  13. Doi bro. How could you not sense the joke? Haha
  14. Not bad. OL wise, Miller and Paradis seem off tonight. Do wonder if Christensen-Daley-Paradis-Brown-Moton could be a good lineup.
  15. Stefan LeFors wasn't racist, he just played in Canada for a bit.
  16. The TE converted DT converted OG converted OT Nate Chandler? Can't believe the guys we trotted out there to protect Cam under Ron.
  17. F*ck I wanted Cushenberry badly last draft, thought there were some really good center prospects and we wouldn't need to rely on Paradis. Biadasz and Hennessy too. But they were all gone after Chinn but before Troy Pride so I can't say we screwed up there haha.
  18. Eric Washington as a DC yeah. He was and still is a fine/high end position coach but soooo out of his league as a coordinator. Pickles and Whitehead were so freaking bad so no argument there haha
  19. Player: Todd Steussie towards the end of his run Coach: I'm going with the majority here..hard to argue with Henning
  20. Norv and Scott Turner did so well with Teddy in MN. That 2015 season was killer! He almost averaged a passing TD per game with Adrian Peterson at his peak. Side bar--Heineke was with Turner on those teams. The Turners love that guy.
  21. I agree we could have taken advantage of Fields or Mac whether by picking or trading down. However we could easily find ourselves in a similar situation the Titans have been in the past 2-3 years w/a reclaimed QB (Tann:Darnold), a MVP caliber RB (Henry:CMC) and that young WR core but with a better defense with Burns, Brown, Chinn, Horn, etc. Not to mention a touted coach in league circles w/ a young aspiring OC (Arthur:Brady). We simply didn't identify a QB to roll with in the draft but it's clear they looked hard if you remember the pro days. I also caution those thinking the Cards will be good. Same with Ravens. Those are two teams that should have continued an upward trend and are stalling a bit. Big make/break seasons ahead and they're both in packed divisions. Kingsbury is not successful and they've made plenty of questionable moves. And Murray has yet to show he can really take over a game minus a cool play here and there. They aren't producing and other teams have been in shorter turnaround times. 8-8 last year and it wasn't pretty.
  22. Many don't seem to realize where Baylor was post-Briles. That program had nothing, was stripped to the ground and he built it up super well. QB wise; what's been said in response is pretty clear. Programs can only pull what they can pull. NFL wise, our guys had their board. They saw a 24 y/o Darnold ahead of Fields and Mac Jones. Simple as that. So how about we see Darnold first? I mean he pulled out at 3200+ 19 TD 13 INT, 62% season with a crap team in 2019 and this past year was a bit of a dumpster fire with the team and NYJ coaching. Rhule & Brady aren't making decisions in a vacuum and now they have Fit to help guide things.
  23. To be fair, with new rules a lot of kickers strategize higher kicks to the 1 where the team can trap the returners inside the 10
