So which QB do we think will be available at #9?
Mr. Scot replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sad for him? No. I think it's sad that we've come to a point where things like that can happen though. Likewise, a point where LSU needs additional security at gymnastics meets because creepy guys are there to ogle Olivia Dunne -
I feel like you're tying this to something
-
Maybe in the past, when the game was simpler and there weren't additional factors like a salary cap to deal with, I'd have agreed. These days though, it's highly rare to see that sort of model work. Overall, I'm not a fan of Tepper's football decision making, but in this case I think he's getting it right.

I wouldn't have traded up for Stroud, so... -
Bet you'll love this too...

Staley's decision still being talked about... If they lose this weekend...

Sadly, that's highly plausible. -
Lotsa people think Gannon has the inside track on that job.

Well, if you're looking to piss people off, there's always stuff like this...

Player preference is pretty much universal...

No delay interviewing Ben Johnson
-
Can't say for certain, but it honestly sounds like the Panthers didn't bother requesting. So basically, we wound up pursuing neither Payton nor Harbaugh.

Speaking of experience...
-
I'm not convinced they won't. But if not, try a modest trade for Carr and look to next season. Going with something that's less than ideal just because you have to have it now is a path to bad things.

More time as a coordinator, yeah. But he's got less actual coaching experience than pretty much anybody. He's only been a coach since 2018
-
I'm just not a big fan of the whole "doing what failed for others but this time it'll work" scenario. Even less so when you consider that it would take a massive haul to get Jackson and he'd want a fully guaranteed contract despite his style of play being possibly more prone to injuries. That's a little too much of a potential disaster for me.

Sorry pal, but you're off there. Less time as a coordinator maybe, but he's actually been coaching longer than any of that bunch. Worth remembering that coordinators and head coaches have different skill sets.

Like Denver did for Wilson and Cleveland did for Watson?
-
Yeah, I'd call bullsh-t. Another Panthers Twitter posted that we were interviewing Phil Snow.

Scott Fowler Observer column on coaching hire

Wait...I mean, why would I care? -
Or misinformation It's a time-honored tactic.

Having seen his wife, I probably wouldn't question him
