After today's games are over. 49ers play at 4... -
No Jim Harbaugh - Carolina focusing attention elsewhere
Mr. Scot replied to therealmjl's topic in Carolina Panthers
I don't, but that doesn't mean I disagree with everything he does (I definitely agreed with firing Matt Rhule) -

Can't even schedule interviews till after the regular season is over. -

He wasn't even qualified for that. Again, where are people getting the notion that these are our only candidates? -

Earlier in the season you'd have had an argument. But they've been trending up and we're just kind of plateaued. -

By helping satisfy the Rooney Rule. I like Caldwell, but this could just be due diligence. -

Sorry to hear. To answer, a combination of the undersized defenders Rhule left us to play against the run and Josh Norman stuck covering Chris Olave. -

Not so sure I'd take fan opinions all that seriously... -
Calling Harbaugh a college coach is a stretch. Saying Tepper might not be up for another egomaniac control freak would probably be accurate though.

No issue with either of those choices. But I don't think that's who we hire. -

The Wishbone is part of NFL history too, but I wouldn't suggest employing it today. Of the coaches listed, only Pete Carroll actually has final say. Heck, Reid specifically stated he leaves personnel stuff to Brett Veach. Tomlin had Colbert, Payton had Loomis, Coughlin had to dial back to start winning and Parcells actually got worse the more control he got (his trophy came working with Ernie Accorsi). Having a total control coach is not a popular model these days, and for good reason.
