  1. Add to that stuff that we traded SGA for Miles + 2nd rd picks. So Miles has completely screwed us in multiple ways.
  2. Freddie is so bad. I’ve never understood the love for him.
  3. I’m watching Canes and Hornets on Crackstreams on my phone for now until I eventually decide to pony up for Bally Sports+.
  4. I was shocked that he let Miller stay in down the stretch.
  5. Even outside of the scoring, I’ve been happy with what I’ve seen from BM. Took a couple fouls from veteran moves that he’ll learn from. Made a couple mistakes ball handling and passing. But otherwise, he mostly makes good decisions, good passes, plays solid defense. And he looked much more confident scoring in the second half.
  6. I didn't realize Aho was out last game and there isn't an update yet. Hope Koochie gets the start tonight.
  7. That hip check from Orlov was beautiful
  8. With the Bridges situation, he's probably not going to have much of a choice. Also, Coach Clifford's job (for better or worse) is to win and this is a fringe playoff team. Miller is not ready for heavy minutes right now. Adding certain injuries and Miller's hopeful development through the season, I would expect to see him more later in the year similar to Mark Williams.
  9. I’m using Crackstreams on my phone until they figure something out. Between my wife, kids, and busy schedule, not like I get to sit down and actually watch games very often anyways.
  10. FWIW I was also somewhat happy with Miller with the caveat that he’s not a perfect player and will not explode on the scene right away. But I see the tools that show he can be a very strong core piece. I really liked seeing him make good, quick decisions a lot of times. On 3 specific occasions I remember, he drove, drew an extra defender and immediately made the pass out to the uncovered man. 2 times Thor made the 3 and the third time was a missed 3 by Sumner.
  11. His presence inside is huge. The Heat announcers were even talking about how it opens up the other guys to take more risks on defense knowing that he can clean up behind them.
  12. What are the lines looking like to start the season? I was able to watch just a bit of preseason but haven't been able to focus as much on lines. I was pleasantly surprised with Bunting's performance in the preseason from what I did see. Without a bonafide sniper we really need to keep increasing the secondary scoring. Hoping Necas can keep up his momentum from last year, Turbo can get back to being Turbo, Jarvis and KK keep coming along, and we finally get to see Drury start to break out.
  13. I hate the Heat with a passion. Doesn’t matter if it’s regular season, preseason, or summer league…we can never beat them.
  14. https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/news/canes-trim-training-camp-roster-to-30-players Looks like Unger Sorum is still on the roster after the trim. He will probably get a few games as a tryout until Svech is fully ready.
  15. Sometimes those penalties are worth it to stay in the back of the opponents head. When is the last time the Canes had a true punisher?
  16. That's a fair argument. I agree with you about higher picks although I do think 3rds still have decent value. If you take the 2021 draft trade when we had the same pick you get a better picture. So throw out the 5th and 6th swap (who cares) and your question becomes is 39 better value than 52 + 83? Bears receive: 2021 second-round pick (No. 39) 2021 fifth-round pick (No. 151) Panthers receive: 2021 second-round pick (No. 52) 2021 third-round pick (No. 83) 2021 sixth-round pick (No. 204)
  17. I was just being facetious but this is a good post. I would still make the argument that draft picks, especially at this point in the draft, is a crapshoot. Having more opportunities to hit is still a positive. I could also see a scenario where Fitt trades down to pick up another pick or two next year. This would provide more ammo to get a late first next year or just additional pick(s) to compensate for not having a first.
  18. Smokescreen to get some sucker team to trade up from pick ~50.
  19. I’ve pretty much assumed this would be the case. It makes sense to recoup some of our trade up. I assume it would be something similar to the trade in 2021 when we had the same pick: Bears receive: 2021 second-round pick (No. 39 OT Teven Jenkins) 2021 fifth-round pick (No. 151 OT Larry Borom) Panthers receive: 2021 second-round pick (No. 52 traded to Browns) 2021 third-round pick (No. 83 TE Tommy Tremble) 2021 sixth-round pick (No. 204 WR Shi Smith)
  20. The gap narrowed just a bit yesterday but back up to -350 for Young this morning.
  21. Ironically I don't bet but Vegas usually has good info. BY has been closing the gap the past week from CJ's -400 lead I've seen. Bryce is now a -300 favorite with CJ at +220. This morning Bryce was at -150 and favored for the first time. AR is +2000 and Levis is +6000.
  22. I have a strong feeling that we’ll get that second rounder back by 2025 through FitterMagic. 2 years to wheel and deal.
  23. Went for the big fish. Got 1 of 2 and a tremendous consolation prize on the second (Brown). Additional benefit of getting draft picks in the future. Sounds like an absolute win-win for everybody involved.
