Let him build up some strength and put some playmakers around him and he will be a superstar.

He will definitely get better as he gets stronger. He doesn’t have the quickness to generate space so he will improve when he can absorb contact better. He also needs a primary ball handler to work off of. He’s so good off the ball and not ONLY having to create for himself. Lamelo is the only one who can do that for him consistently but I also agree with other posters that I’m not sold yet on Melo’s long term future.

No idea why Fitterer didn’t get a big RB at the trade deadline. We can’t get 1 yard when we need it. [We just failed to score a TD from the 1 as I type]. BY + Chubba/Sanders/Blackshear can’t get it done.

Delhomme was never a star but was an excellent game manager. Those teams were built on strong OL, DL, RBs, and Steve Smith.

IIRC Barber got stiff armed to the turf by both RBs. That game was so fun to watch.

So real talk, regardless of everyone’s opinion, what is the expectation for Miles? Does he play for the Hornets this year?

Freddie or another player going on LTIR would open up a lot of cap space. I really hope that Waddell takes advantage of this situation and gets our G right. He screwed up by not doing more in the offseason. We desperately need a difference maker.

You’re right, it won’t. If you look at it from a high level, all sports teams are increasing in value at crazy rates. Tepper is almost certainly using the Panthers as an investment with the added benefit of playing owner/GM. It doesn’t matter how bad the on-field is, the value of the organization will just keep going up significantly.

We were lucky that Dallas missed a ton of open looks. We have no clue how to play team defense.

This offense is so painful to watch. Look for ISO, if it’s not there pass to someone else, look for ISO, if it’s not there pass to someone else, rinse repeat. No motion. No plays. And nobody will even look to Miller.
