    @csxhas basically said it but tanking and taking a long term approach are not the same thing. My guess/ hope is that senseless free agent signings to squeeze out a 4th or 5th win are a thing of the past. 3 year journey. I'm here for it.

    Yep. We're not a WR away from being competitive. They need to take whoever they absolutely love at any position at 33. And they need to be right.

    Yes it's speculation but despite the well deserved hate I'm working with the theory that Tepper isn't abjectly stupid. This would require Morgan having been more right than wrong.

    While none of us know, I think Morgan got the job because he was the dissenting voice in some or most of the bad personnel decisions and time has proven him correct

    Not really a narrative. We have the worst roster in the league. Stroud isn't coming to save the day. If Canales and Morgan are good, we won't be regularly embarrassed this season. That's the ceiling.

    Totally fair. Guess I was thinking about the best currently like Bosa and Crosby at 26, Garrett at 28. Parsons 24. Watt 29.

    What seems to be lost on most is that, IF everything breaks right, we have a chance to be competitive in 3 years. There is no point in any big contracts for guys that will be past their prime in 2026.
