Matt Corral post to instagram
lightsout replied to Sean Payton's Vicodin's topic in Carolina Panthers
I mean poo, you get drafted, told you're basically the future and to bide your time, learn the NFL game and get yourself ready. That same year, you suffer a major injury in a meaningless game, the head coach is poo canned, the offense is gutted, and the team stinks so bad that it's basically a hard reset.. Now you're healthy and hungry and the team signs another vet QB and drafts one #1 overall. Everything you thought this time last year is upended, and you're left behind. poo spot for him. I'd want to try my luck elsewhere too. But options are basically gone at this point. Tampa to back up Baker again? Back up a different rookie QB? Back up an established guy who you'll never get a chance behind? Corral got screwed, but that's Rhule for ya -
That's a loss I don't think we can afford right now. Hope he's just being cautious

This should be a straightforward w. We reasserted ourselves and the guys who were asked to step up have. Just gotta play our game and avoid the chippy bullshit. If we can't stop being drawn into it, we're fuged when we face Boston.
-
Sounds about right. Lol. If they make your RMA process hell, you know what brand to avoid in the future. But that's fairly standard.

It's not likely a grounding problem but I guess it would depend on the case it's in. Most have motherboard standoffs anyway so it shouldn't be an issue. It's almost definitely PSU related. Either an unfortunate unit or potentially less power than you anticipated in the build (I haven't tallied your power from the build but I would never suggest less than 650w gold rated PSUs to anybody on any build in general). On antec, it's not that the PSUs they sell are particularly or uniquely bad. Their customer service is typically poor according to most things I've read. They base their units off of the lower tier seasonic FX PSUs and those have power draw issues. In general I'd suggest seasonic's modular PSUs (avoiding the FX line, as previously stated) because not only are they generally just good, but their RMA process is pretty solid if something is wrong. Or Corsair, can never go wrong with them for the same reason.

Stroud just has the look on tape of an NFL QB to me. I was never a big Russ fan because I felt like he relied on great d, great run game and sheer luck for most of his career and look at him now. I think Young is very much gonna be the same. Hope I'm wrong since that seems to be our pick, but Stroud seems like that dude.

Watched what was supposedly his last video he uploaded hours before his death. He seemed resigned and contemplative in that. But idk. Heart attacks hit hard and fast.

I will always advise running Ethernet ports where you need them unless you're talking a space larger than 2,000sqft for wifi purposes. Smart home setups CAN be secure but the potential for them being hacked is too high for me to even entertain it seriously.

First strip club I ever went to and I got assaulted by a dancer's boob. Lol

I mean aesthetically. The spring festival I went to in 2012 was great. Really liked the vibe. Not much going on but it felt cozy. On the whole though, yeah fug Fayetteville. Sharky's scarred me for life

I always tell people that it's weird, but the air feels better from Pender County down. Something about the region is just great. My skin feels better, I'm generally happier. Great area. If my wife ever does get the wild hair to move, it's down there for me. Says a lot when I know people who came, lived there, moved on to other opportunities across the state...and they all find themselves coming back to settle somewhere in the Wilmington area.
-
Being from the area myself, it's a very love it or hate it city. I was excited to take the wife around a couple years ago and she was very meh about it. I don't get it but that's my youth so I'll always consider it home a bit

Lovely Fayetteville (I legitimately have a soft spot for it despite it's inherent shittiness. Downtown is gorgeous in the spring). Raleigh is better than Charlotte thanks to the life the colleges give it. And the Canes.

Calus birthing Caital should've been a cutscene. Lol But yeah that all makes sense. It sucks that that much can be deduced but they couldn't even tease any of it

And the fact that he's in grief and reciting those words and just fug man. Lol. One thing that keeps bothering me is the fact that we still have no clue about what the Witness has done to the Traveler. And how or why we can still use the Light. And why hasn't the Witness stripped our ability to use the Darkness, or why the Darkness itself hasn't pulled away and rejected us. Like I get that the Darkness and Light don't exactly care for intention of the person granted the power (Savathun proved this for the Light, we proved it for the Darkness by being able to utilize Stasis to defeat Eramis). So it isn't as simple as each force building an army to oppose the other. It isn't as simple as the Witness being necessarily bad. We're fighting to maintain what we know (the Traveler has provided nearly endless life and the cost is just having to ward off power grabs from bad guys). The Witness hasn't stated a single purpose other than to "liberate" us. I need next expansion now lol

That hit me like a ton of bricks. Feel for Crow and Mithrax. Also find it somewhat fitting to have him on the same vengeance arc we were on in Forsaken, due to Uldren.

Eyes up, Guardian. RIP

I think the light and dark ends with the meeting of the two and them becoming one. Just as we've managed to use and master both the Light and Darkness. What the story is beyond that, idk. I'd say it's likely that they are going to have to create an entirely new storyline that isn't a rehash. No shot it becomes "Hive still want the power"
-
You kill Zavala. That's the right thing to do. You fuging scrap the opening for next season that you had planned, you do enough AI work with his voice to bridge the end of the season to the beginning of next, and Zavala goes down like a badass protecting Ikora, thus healing that relationship allowing her to grieve fully. Then we fug poo up hard against the Shadow Legion and The Witness. Take down whoever the next Lieutenant is going to be (or I could see a Hive arc to sort of shake it up. I know we just had an entire expansion that was Hive focused, but Curse of Osiris has me wary of Vex focused seasons lol
-
Lance Reddick died. Zavala dying in game almost has to happen next season. I know they could generate his voice via AI with all the hours of dialogue they no doubt have of the voice, but it wouldn't seem right. Absolutely sucks. Great actor, always seemed like a great guy too.

I generally always avoided it aside from pinnacles but I ran it some last night just to see what kind of state it was in. You definitely have to set your armor for just resilience and recovery but otherwise, I used a variety of weapons to decent effect. Single fire weapons still reign supreme as hand cannons and scouts and shotguns were the main thing I saw but it was a decent time. PvE is still the draw for me and the challenge of harder content. Haven't touched the raid yet but I'm hoping it's not obscenely easy. The Last Wish and Leviathan were great but I know most people never cleared them without cheesing them. Still felt good to do it correctly and finally clear it after about 8 hours each lol

Boys, strand is dumb strong in crucible. Holy poo lol
-
I was down on strand initially but working through the post campaign content and grinding for fragments is starting to really prove how powerful you can make your build. My warlock is turning into a machine. Also I did the unthinkable and purchased silver for the Neomuna armor ornaments. The warlock one with the right shaders is just perfect.

Why does it matter that the Witness lured us into the Veil to assure regardless of whether or not Calus succeeded he'd have a way to link to the Veil? What exactly did he do to the Traveler? What in the hell actually happened because we still have the Light. This felt grander and still less impactful than what happened at the start of the Red War, somehow.
