I'm sure it's been said, but I don't see this game going much different than the Dallas game. You got a few in your fanbase feeling a bit nervous(for some unknown f'ing reason) and an opposing fanbase that's feeling a little froggy due to their previous weeks win. It's all very familiar.  This Carolina team is just too damn good at too many positions to lose to a poor team like the Giants. The Giants would absolutely have to play flawless football for 4 qtrs to have a shot at topping us. NOTHING they've done all year leads one to believe they are capable of that kind of game.

  2. One thing is for sure, K. Short has had one of the best season's already for a DT in our franchises history.  Since the start of our franchise comparable seasons for DT's:

    2015 Short 44 tackles 9 sacks

    2007-Kemoeatu 46 tackles 0 sacks

    2003-Jenkins 45 tackles 5 sacks

    2002-Jenkins 44 tackles 7 sacks

Those stats vary from site to site I'm sure but I used the official site.  And those are complete seasons so Short will add some more tackles and sacks in the next 3 games to add to his lead.  So I think it's safe to say that he's had the best year for a DT for our team.

I would go with CAP, he's a good enough runner with a great line that if he does well early (as Jeremy said, which I believe he will) he'll get touches and he can produce big. Of course there's a chance of him getting 3 carries for 5 yards and nothing else. Boom/bust and I'm feeling boom.

The thing that worries me the most about whoever is going to get the bulk of the carries is the read option with those players.  Seems to me that it takes a lot of "feel" and practice to get that down.

I gotta question, why is it a MUST that Tillman hurries and plays this week? I honestly don't get it. Yeah, we have injuries, but I have no doubt we could handle the Giants (and even the Falcons again) without Tillman, especially with this offense. That's two weeks extra rest and he could play a few snaps in the Bucs game to somewhat knock off rust. I just don't get why it seems this week is THE week to bring him back.

Really the only threat the Giants pose is in the passing game which is why we need Tillman out there.  In some other thread where we were discussing resting players versus going for 16-0 I thought we should not rest players UNLESS they were injured.  We still haven't wrapped up the #1 seed so we need our best players on the field.  Still, I'd hate to lose Tillman over one game.  I'm not a doctor (3 credits short) and I'm not privy to inside info so I'm going to trust Ron to do the right thing for the team here.
