I have lived and worked all over SC. The level of support is fuging pathetic. I have encountered far more rooting against the Panthers than for them. Hence, I have never considered it SC's team. It is definitively a NC team.

David Newton getting too close to our players?

You also don't have to say anything to them either. Reference the extremely hilarious Rasheed Wallace interview from years ago where he answers every question with "Both teams played hard. It was a good game." -
I have rarely ever met a Clemson fan who cared even remotely about the NFL. In fairness, same with Gamecock fans.

I do agree with this. -

The logic is that we went from not caring enough to making it the only thing we care about. We can't find the right balance.

I am not sure he goes that high because of the positional value and the teams picking in that range. I think it is generally unlikely. Top 15 I can definitely see. We will see what happens.

Trading down would make more sense for a guy like him. Get more ammo in the 2nd or 3rd. Like the prospect, for sure, but top 10 is tough. High price to pay for a safety. He would have to be a generational player to justify that.

We could also draft a guy of that caliber on a much smaller contract deal.

Bryce Contract Extension - Hypothetical

This isn't a good year to waste a third round draft pick on a 3rd string QB. That would be an incredibly foolish decision. -

Overall, I really want to get more top 60 or 90 picks. This class seems VERY deep, although possibly lacking many elite guys. This would be a great class to get a TE, DT/NT, DE/EDGE, RB, LB, CB, etc. Lots of options available for us. Very heavily leaning towards trading down to get more 2nd and 3rd round picks.

Well, if you read the quote the one guy does say they are very strict at his franchise. Something to keep an eye on, though. If he is your guy, he might drop and be available in a trade down.

Quite possibly one of the most disrespectful things I have ever seen said about a player on the Huddle.

Eschew homer picks. They so frequently lead to heartache.

Conditional 6th.

Maybe even good ones?

I think it is less about there being an elite guy than we think Wonnum and Clowney are better than they are because the rest of our options are so bad.
