  1. And that our interest doesn't align with the franchise.
  2. Well Reich has never worked with a QB as bad as Darnold. Not to mention, if we want to be successful....why would we do that to our new head coach? Isn't part of the thought process here that he has helped middle or lower tier guys play better so imagine him with a really good QB?
  3. Interesting that the Huddle's #1(overwhelmingly) and #2 picks were not interviewed a second time.
  4. I don't think we should expect an Andy Reid type. Reid has been insanely successful no matter where he has been(only 7 of 24 seasons with less than 10 wins). It would be nice but that is a pretty crazy bar to hit.
  5. Not the guy I want to draft at all but Reich would be a guy that might be able to mold that clay from the current turd shape into a stud QB.
  6. Well that credit goes to a previous FO, thankfully.
  7. There are competent game managing QB's expected to be available in free agency, however. Why spend on an incompetent one?
  8. I sincerely hope our FO is smarter than to double down on an already awful decision.
  9. Yeah, Wilks would have been a feel good story had he crushed through the easy schedule and won 9-10 games on his way to playoff berth. Instead....it felt like the old Fox/Rivera days.
  10. Yeah, I mean it's fine. Not the big exciting splash but we hired the first offensive background head coach in NFL history. That is finally a change. Hopefully he puts together a very good staff. That should be the big benefit of him.
  11. Well, let's go down the list: Kafka, Steichen, Caldwell, Evero, Dorsey Caldwell seems unlikely. Steichen we will know if this drags into next week. So who of Kafka, Evero and Dorsey makes sense?
  12. That would render a lot of media sources incorrect. Which, I suppose that isn't rare anymore.
  13. Possibly so. He would know more than any of us.
  14. Yeah, I think this will happen pretty soon.
  15. How about not fuging doing it over and over and over again?
  16. Oh you mean @heinikesburner isn't a real account????
  17. That guy is easily one of the least intelligent posters on here. Also, that's consistently what dumb people say.......how fuging smart they are.
  18. Yeah but that doesn't exactly remove the point being made. More of these guys have flamed out than been successful. It's not anywhere close to 100% success rate.
  19. People assume every young, hotshot OC is Sean McVay and that just isn't the case. Not all these guys in their 30's are going to have their ducks in a row immediately.
  20. A coach lasting 10 years with a team is pretty rare. There are only five of those in the NFL currently.
  21. Pete Carroll, Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells, Andy Reid, etc, etc, etc.
  22. I once worked on some disaster of a project for a Fortune 500 company and had direct access to a specific VP. Just an insane POS of a human being, although he could put on "the face" when he was in front of a crowd. One of the long time employees at this company told me that he had been pulled up through the ranks of this company by a mentor and eventually he was promoted to VP over his mentor(whom he jumped in rank with that promotion). He stripped his mentor of all power and basically gave him a job sitting in a desk somewhere twiddling his thumbs until he ultimately fired him. Those are the type of people that most commonly rise to that level of power in those sort of companies. Most NFL owners are those kind of people. Every person that rises to the level that Tepper did in his industry is that type of person.
  23. I tend to think this. Not a splash hire but a very respectable one, a departure from our previous hires and should be a guy that can put a very well respected staff in place for us. That's one thing that people said about Dan Campbell after he was initially panned because of his crazy interviews. Once he started to put his staff together, it immediately caught the attention of NFL people because he made a lot of very, very good hires.
