  1. Jeff Nixon was always going to be the guy, IMO.
  2. I think he will be many times better than Jimmy G. Jimmy is an average QB. Lance has ultra high potential and works to get better every day. I believe he will be a franchise QB whenever he gets the reigns.
  3. The cigar was great. Looked like a Padron 1964 or 1926.
  4. Not saying he isn't trying but there is only so far you can get when you start so low.
  5. He hits a lot of good points. He definitely covers one thing that I get annoyed that fans don't appreciate or realize. The idea of taking project players and molding them. As a professional athlete, that requires the motivation to go get better every day ON YOUR OWN. I saw that with what Horn was doing in the offseason. So when you bring in a guy and talk about how you are gonna develop him(especially a veteran), I already have a good idea you don't know what you are talking about. Sam Darnold is the most obvious example but we have had plenty of them. You want guys that actively pursue getting better every day. Those guys will be much more successful.
  6. I think he is closer than you are thinking. But that is on the team to decide.
  7. That's the thing. If Lance is the guy next year, Jimmy G will be gone.
  8. This is a REALLY exceptional listen for the OL fans.
  9. Because he is an average starting QB on the last year of a deal. He isn't going to elevate your franchise with his play very often.
  10. I could not possibly care less about these guys personal lives. The biggest thing I have cared about personally was Ron's battle with cancer and Cam's cigar bar(huge cigar fan).
  11. We also got rid of the core of the reasons the franchise had success. That's what I mean. If you purge to that level, you need to have a winning culture you inject. We did the exact opposite of that. But I think we fundamentally disagree on the "rebuild vs. retool." New England hasn't been rebuilding. They retool every offseason. That is what a competent organization does. We are as far from being competent as possible.
  12. That was why I was so skeptical it could ever work. TBH, it probably will lead to an almost decade long slump.
  13. These teams rarely intentionally tank. They tank because they have incompetent leadership. We are an example of a successful tank(2010) but that is far from the norm. Also, we didn't gut the roster like we did after 2019. That is something that you rarely see in the NFL.
  14. Raiders, Browns, Bengals. They stayed bad for years. The history of NFL rebuilds is not kind. But, continue to think it is, David.
  15. Yeah, I mean we are saying the same thing
  16. Scorched earth is rarely successful in the NFL.
  17. I am just teasing him because he was so ardently anti-Herbert. I was a huge Herbert fan. I was also not a big Burrow fan. I saw crazy intangibles but not a lot of elite traits.
  18. Highly unrealistic but that would be amazing.
  19. This is where he needs to develop. He knows plays and play design but he has to be able to use them in a coherent way during a game.
