No idea . . . people just like to argue online with strangers these days and I'll never understand it.

This team is 5-4 with two winnable games ahead and then play San Fran on Monday night football. I'm just going to enjoy the next three weeks and not analyze how or why this team is 5-4.

Are you in favor of resting Dowdle this week?!?
jtm replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
There are no easy games in the NFL and especially divisional opponents. -
Where would we be right now with a real franchise QB?
jtm replied to KillerKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m not a Bryce fan, but let’s be honest, he has a bunch of rookie and inexperienced WRs and TEs. I don’t want him long term, but he’s not awful. -
Again, we need to stop trading good players for draft picks. It is so frustrating as a fan.

Panthers Sign QB White to roster; Christensen on IR
jtm replied to ProcessBlue2's topic in Carolina Panthers
If he's QB2 then it restores some faith in Canales and Morgan because Dalton is done. -
Unless the Panthers implode the rest of the season, Canales will be back next year and probably Evero as well. Morgan needs to have another draft like last year and then the Panthers will have enough talent where Canales' coaching deficiencies will likely be exposed. Or maybe he learns and improves as a coach and the Panthers are a legitimate football team with playoff aspirations.

So, Is Bryce Playing this Week or Nah?
jtm replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
If this was the plan, Canales failed miserably. I can't imagine watching Dalton in practice and thinking he can win an NFL game, but maybe he's a good practice player. -
I wasn't a fan of the Canales hire, but the Panthers didn't exactly have people lining up to coach this dumpster fire under Tepper. I think Canales is doing a decent job with a talent depleted roster and not much cap room. It is pretty crazy how many rookies and 2nd year players that have key roles with this team.

Bryce should have stayed hurt for another week because Micah Parsons is going to wreak havoc in the backfield.

So, Is Bryce Playing this Week or Nah?
jtm replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it is as simple as Bryce feels better than expected and could play if he needed to. Canales is being coy so the Bills have to prepare for two QBs and I like the gamesmanship. No way that Bryce plays unless he practices. -
Bryce Young - High Ankle Sprain, out minimum 1 week
jtm replied to UNCrules2187's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think Dalton will ball out this weekend with a week of practice as the starter. -
I wouldn't call Dallas a crappy team and most of us Panthers fans have been on life support for a long time and I'm trying to somewhat enjoy not being the laughing stock of the sports world.

Panthers have the 3rd leading rusher in NFL
jtm replied to Pantherxtreme's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Panthers won and did the right thing for Chuba. I suspect this weekend or next, could be a different story. -

jtm replied to Pantherxtreme's topic in Carolina Panthers
You might not agree with it, but this is the reality. If Chuba doesn't out play Rico this weekend, I suspect that Rico will be starting the following week. -
I don't see how you can say that Dalton is washed from a couple preseason games and a couple series yesterday. I predict that he plays great this weekend.
-
This is a winnable game at home this weekend. The Bills are injured and not playing well. I expect the Panthers to run the ball heavy so Dalton or Bryce will not put up big stats but they need to not turn the ball over for the Panthers to have a chance.

Great game by XL and he's going to have opportunities with TMac getting a lot of attention from defenses.

Panthers have the 3rd leading rusher in NFL
jtm replied to Pantherxtreme's topic in Carolina Panthers
Chuba is a key leader on this team and he needs to give Chuba an opportunity to keep the starting job and this is the right way to handle this. We can all see that Rico is a better back at the moment and he's going to win the starting job, but he needs to win if fair and square with both backs battling it out and not when a guy is injured. Two backs going 110% to be the starter is a good thing. -
This place wants to get rid of every single player that doesn't have a banner rookie year and XL is no different. I'm not saying XL is the answer, but I am saying that no one should turn on any player this early in their NFL career unless they have work ethic and/or locker room issues and XL has neither of these. The guy is barley in his 2nd year in the league. This place said Derrick Brown was a bust.

I don't think Bryce is a franchise QB, but this fanbase and franchise also said the same thing about Baker Mayfield. Even Darnold had success elsewhere.
-
The Panthers are a better offense with Evans and Tremble on the field compared to Sanders. Sanders has way more upside, but drops too many passes and can't block nearly as well as Evans and Tremble.
-
This. The Huddle is entertainment these days. A couple weeks ago there were threads to fire Dan and folks were saying Mike Jackson might be the best trade ever by the Panthers. It is entertaining for sure.
-
There are only a handful of shutdown corners in the entire NFL and Horn is one of them and Jackson certainly is not. The Panthers don't have much of a pass rush and our DBs are getting exposed because of this. Nothing that can be done about this now other than hoping that our young pass rushers continue to improve.
