we fixed ours in free agency. a rookie is not an immediate answer.

but f skeletor thinks he’s the answer, he will overpay for those 4 spots to get him. if jeanty or mcmillian are there at 8, some GM with a hard-on will give us a good deal to get their guy. i can totally see teams wanting to leapfrog chicago, now that they have an offensive coach. either of these two would do well there.

if he’s the pick at 8, it’s because we traded out of that spot

if McMillian and/or Campbell fall to 8, we should get some calls. someone might even go for Jeanty, assuming he’ll do for them what barkley has done for the iggles. i think we’re in a good spot where, if someone we love falls to us, we’re not too far down for that to happen. if it doesn’t, the #1 WR, CB, LT, etc, who someone else loves will be there, and allow us to pick up some really good extra draft capital.

most of my best mocks do exactly this. walker plus another second gets some good DL rebuild going.

some of my favorite mocks i do are trading back with Indy or Miami, but not Arizona, as that lets Hotlanta pick before us.

Im all for defense. I’ll add Will Johnson and remove McMillian. While I’d rather have DL, two strong corners will allow for more safety help in the box, so it’s still a win for the run game.

if Graham somehow makes it to 8, i’ll get a chubby so big it will trigger seismic activity

Barkley’s season is really helping Jeanty’s stock. if he dominates the owl, i can see some GM projecting that success on Jeanty and picking him high. if he goes before us, that’s great news. if he and Mac are still there at 8, then graham and johnson are probably both gone. we might be able to trade back a few spots and still get Mykel or Walker, while also picking up an extra 2nd or 3rd, which can turn into another DL prospect. My personal preference is Graham, but i’ll take Walker + a high 3rd as a consolation prize all day.
