As DC, he oversaw mid-level defenses on teams with abysmal records (5-11, 2-15) and one of the worst defenses in history this year. Even those so-called "mid-level" defenses came on teams with historically bad offenses, where opposing teams didn’t have to do much win.
Does anyone really believe our defense was good last year? We had an offense that set records for how bad it was, and all teams needed to do was run the ball, control the clock, and cruise to victory.
Sure, we had some tough injuries this season, but let’s be honest—our defense couldn’t stop anyone.
