  1. This K situation is so awesome for the first time in a long time. We have a long kicker. We have an accurate kicker. We have a rookie kicker. This guy could be clutch for us for a long time!
  2. I think we were sandbagging Rico last week. That was a losing proposition. We had to save Rico for a game where we had a prayer.
  3. With a QB, we're in the conversation of the wild card team that division winners fear playing in the first round.
  4. He is like, Cam-level single-handedly dragging this team to victory
  5. Get you a moist slice of 100 passing yards, 1 Int victory pie!
  6. Bryce has 83 passing yards. They are right to sell out on Dowdle.
  7. The D is. Except Nick Scott. If we had a QB this would be a playoff caliber roster.
  8. I still think this team could somehow stumble its way into the playoffs. But no matter what happens, I'm done with Bryce after this year.
  9. I love game-winning drives! I do not love constantly being in a position where we need game-winning drives.
  10. If we do, we're officially giving up our very dim playoff hopes. I don't think its' a terrible idea. He's probably not staying after this year. His value is red hot. If we wanted to move a piece to a contender, now is definitely the time. ...But I kinda think I'd rather have him.
  11. Okay, tinfoil hat time, but this seems as good a place as any. Don't you think it's possible Canales was saving Rico's carries for winnable games? You're starting Andy Dalton against the Bills. Is that really the game you want risk injuring your star running back by giving him 20+ carries? Yeah, I'd feed Chuba too, and keep Rico healthy for Green Bay when you're starting QB is back.
  12. Yes, with a decent line, almost any NFL caliber RB can be a 1,000 yard rusher. We've got talent waiting in the wings and it's a position we are pretty deep at this season. I like Chuba, but I don't imagine I'd regret trading him while he had value.
  13. ILB has been a huge weakness since losing Luke. I don't think we'll find the answer in trade, and probably not in FA either. But boy oh boy do we need to focus on MLB in the draft.
  14. A jersey thread and a new coach thread in the last 24 hours. You'd think we were in full off-season mode, not second place in our division.
  15. We're still in the wild card race. Shockingly, our division is still in reach. We lost to the team that was one game away from the Super Bowl. Starting Andy Dalton as our backup QB. I think it's safe to say that despite how bleak our loss was this week, for me, and probably others, at this point in the season we're exceeding expectations. We definitely run the risk of coming back down to Earth HARD. But all things considered, this is hardly the time to start winding up the coaching carousel.
  16. I thought this graphic from the NFL network previewing the Bills/Panthers on the subject is relevant: Overall, the deep ball game is definitely diminishing.
  17. A couple LBs and EDGE have been relegated to rotational guys now. We could probably pick them up for a pick swap.
  18. Peanut should be in the Hall, because he literally has a widely used football move named after him. If you fundamentally changed the game, you should be enshrined.
  19. Our opponents have poor records, but that should now overshadow just how impressive this defense has been. Yeah the Jets are winless, but they can put up points in bunches. So far this season, the Panthers are the only team to hold the Jets to single digits in points:
  20. You have to credit Bryce for one thing, he paradoxically increased the trade value of our trash receivers. Teams were thinking, "these guys only look like crap because Carolina's QB situation is so bad." Little did the know, they were just crap. Lookit Bryce! Little by little helping us claw back the draft capital we frittered away on him.
  21. TOOOO FUUUUURRRSTS! Memes aside, it was spectacularly mismanaged. I'd love to have him, but we had way too many holes at the time to spend a fortune on a premium position. As soon as it was clear we couldn't afford him in the long run, we should have shipped him off.
  22. Hate it for Evans. Solid, solid player. At his age that might be where you call it a career.
  23. I know it's not in fashion as much these days, but man would I love to confuse some defenses with dual-HB sets!
