Trying to figure out his value this offseason is going to be tough for us or any other team. His agent knows RBs in their late 20s are in low demand due to eventual fall off in production and injury risks so he’s going to get every dollar he can for his client.

Fitz is owed almost $19 million in his final year, 2026. That’s due to the Steelers and Dolphins past restructuring. I think his dead cap hit this offseason is almost $13 million. That’s a lot of cap space used up on a journeyman 29 year old safety.

Another thing to note. 3 of the 4 losses were to playoff teams. Yes, the Jags are the 7 seed if the playoffs started today.

Bottom line is this. The day before the season began if you told all panthers fans we would be 5-4 on November 3rd, 90% of us would be happy with that. Back then we all knew all the holes and question marks we had and everyone believed there was no way the minor offseason upgrades to the defense would turn it from 32nd to borderline top 10. Bryce is who he is and the overall season and career stats shows he is a below average starter. But that final drive was impressive and he has a talent for rising to the occasion when the pressure is at the highest. He seems to have a lot of the intangibles as a leader both on the field a in the locker room. Plus nine game winning drives in his first 38 starts can’t be ignored.
