All you have to do is watch Bryce throw out routes or comebacks to the sideline….. his arm is 100% on the weaker side starting QB standards. Not really a debate IMO. and you hate watching it because the ball hangs
-
And that’s really carnival game throwing. As it sailed over what’s his name. Not in game, route throwing. Bryce has to be 40ish on a lot throws

These numbers differ. 2008-2013 https://www.ourlads.com/story/default/Quarterback-Ball-Velocity-at-NFL-Combine-2008-2017/10243/dh/

Cam Newton combine - 56 zero chance the average gets up to 60……from 2008-2023 literally one QB at the combine cracked 60. Josh Allen. DeShaun Watson was always a floater in college and pros. He was 45. Bryce has to be super low. Way lower than that AI bot was suggesting and thats where those numbers were from
-
Highest velocity any QB at his combine got to was 58 and that was just to one direction. Random example: Anthony Richardson Florida 53 (Left) 54 (Right) and that is at the combine where they know they are being clocked for velocity. So you know that likely is situationally influenced to be higher than what they actually throw normally

well, I'd argue the David Moore issue has shown itself over and over. David Moore is his guy. Which means he has guys. And that means rosters and pecking order ain't just about play.......and I think if you look beyond David Moore at how David Canales manages his roster.......you see at other spots, he has been reluctant to play the best options elsewhere several times. Which is a flaw I don't want in my coach. Starting lesser caliber players for "reasons".

well, just some quick on the two subjects I mentioned. YAC and getting open. 2024 YAC per reception - tied for dead last in all the NFL amongst all WRs and TEs 2024 ESPN Analytics - Open - 148 of 159 - not technically dead last I mean if your QB is Bryce Young, there is really very little reason to have a dude that can't get open or make anything happen w/ the ball in his hands *he also was above league average in drop % in 2024

Odds favor he has a routine Bryce game. about 180 yards. Maybe a TD. Maybe a turnover. -

Bryce is essentially what you would call a bridge QB. A body that occupies the starting role while you look to make a move to find you a QB. We should treat/view him as such. -

I would say this season, Bryce is being best managed to not lose us games. Which is sort of how the Teb0w time presents itself late in the games. We have sort of talked about it all year that Canales calls the games how he has to call the games. So, that's why you ultimately see......less 10+ throws than ever before. And his strategy is to pair that with some extremely favoring scenarios to actually throw it downfield (often when a D is playing short yardage vs Bryce that has resulted into the 20+ ones) -
the board doesn't really contain a heavy % of folks that are very critical of Canales AND Bryce to the same degree. you got a lot folks (often those very critical of Byrce)that think Canales is largely making lemonade out of lemons the best he can. I mean, Canales is a very green HC and playcaller so he is going to get some basic criticism all young folks get as they learn.

we 10000% are overachieving this season. No doubt about that. Something to keep in mind if that first place schedule actually holds up to be a tougher one. Ball has bounced our way despite every game day thread being the NFL IS RIGGED AGAINST US rhetoric. You can take a 6ish win team and have the ball go your way and get 8 or against you and finish with 4. It's all a range the same caliber team can find itself in.
-
Think we lose by an average of 13.7 points when we do on the year.

If I worked for them I would have used the same picture and when I saw you….

No idea. Eric Shelton. That’s not right as he looks like a lineman lol

dang, yall are too good.

My preference also is just picking a RB and letting them be the dude. I don’t really care who. Both Hubbard and Rico IMO are volume runners and lesser versions in a split. Both IMO get stronger with reps and flow.
