  1. horn getting DPI for waving a finger and that mfer just tackled someone before the ball was even there, hahaha. also Drake Maye is damn good
  2. Part of that may be Bryce's trouble past his first read, though I don't know how those stats look the last few weeks, but he was *terrible* for a while
  3. Thanks for this... Any D numbers yet?
  4. All of our receivers do I think, the play calls aren't bad in that regard. But XL just doesn't seem to care, it sucks. We're lucky Coker has looked so good. Hopefully Horn takes off too!
  5. It'll probably be TMac or Egbuka, depending on the last few weeks.
  6. What else happened at the end of the 2020 season? How did Darnold continue to plague him in Arizona, Miami, Washington? Or could it be that once he was paid... Then things started to change? As to DJ vs TMac, we'll see how it goes. I think you may be underplaying TMac's ability to get separation. He frequently gets open, sometimes very open. He's averaging 2.7 yards of separation this year; DJ averaged 2.6 in 2019, 2.5 in 2020, 2.7 in 2021, and 2.8 in 2022. DJ is faster, but TMac is very fast too. DJ is more explosive but TMac's size gives him real potential to be a true #1. He looks better than DJ did as a rookie, but who knows what'll happen in future seasons.
  7. I don't think things are fixed in the sense of Vegas calling in to the refs to order calls, but either the refs are incredibly incompetent, or they are making calls in non-objective and inconsistent ways. Some of the replay calls have been insane the last couple weeks.
  8. Rico looks like he is playing injured. He isn't hitting holes the same way or running over people anymore. Chuba, however, is dragging people like he always has when healthy. I would like for us to try to get Rico some recovery time if he needs it. Chuba is capable of handling the complete load.
  9. How the heck did Darnold follow Robbie around to Arizona and Miami and Washington to ruin him? C'mon man. Robbie was the problem (Darnold was also a problem in 2021 lol). It's funny cause all I'm doing is saying both DJ and TMac are fuging awesome. As to DJ being perfect for Bryce, I'm not sure, but I would have loved to have still had DJ. We went for TMac because Bryce is pretty inaccurate downfield and you do need to threaten vertically. Tmac has been great there.
  10. This is not what they do, man. If you're going to be a bit of a dick you should really read up on PFF. It does not take "a million stats from each player." Each play is scored by an analyst for every player on the field. There is no stat aggregation and no "stats" at all as we think of them. From the site I linked: "Each player is given a grade of -2 to +2 in 0.5 increments on a given play with 0 generally being the average or “expected” grade... Each position has its own grading rubric so our analysts know how to put a grade on the various expectations for a quarterback on a 10-yard pass beyond the sticks or what the range of grades might look like for a frontside offensive tackle down blocking on a “power” play." And who is doing the grading... "PFF employs over 600 full or part-time analysts, but less than 10% of analysts are trained to the level that they can grade plays. Only the top two to three percent of analysts are on the team of “senior analysts” in charge of finalizing each grade after review." And grades vs stats... "We aren’t grading players based on the yardage they rack up or the stats they collect." So... No... PFF is not aggregating "a million stats from each player from an automated tool" at all. This is not what PFF does.
  11. Robbie fell off a cliff after 2021 - if Darnold was that bad, he would have gone someplace else to find success. He didn't, because he got paid and decided he didn't care anymore. It didn't matter who was throwing him the ball. As to TMac vs DJ... the tape DOESN'T lie... TMac is a great receiver, too. So was / is DJ. As to your 2 yard whatever argument, if it was that big a difference *it would add up* in YAC/R, unless DJ just sucked on 90% of his receptions (he didn't). The reality is they're both elusive dudes, DJ is definitely moreso and faster, but TMac has a much wider catch radius and ability to bring down balls that DJ wouldn't be able to. In only his first year TMac is only 3 ypg less than DJ's career in Carolina. Both are exceptional receivers, despite TMac only being his first season. As to taking a short pass and going 40 yards, TMac has had two passes that I remember where he took a short pass and went ~40 yards. The passes were beyond 2 yards but they weren't the deep bombs he and Young have really started to develop chemistry on too.
  12. You said that PFF is an algorithm that loads lots of data or whatever; it isn't. It is a per-play grading system.
  13. How many yards has Robbie had since his 1000 yard season? Lol. DJ is a different type of receiver but his time as a panther, he was only 1 yard more YAC/R than TMac has right now as a rookie, and he only had 1 season here with more Y/R than TMac has so far (2020).
  14. You may want to go back and look at the roster, lol. Sam had 7 games with CMC in 2021 prior to his injury, and 1 season of 500 yards with Robbie (also in 2021). Robbie and CMC were both gone before Darnold started in 2022. DJ is a great receiver but TMac is already arguably better. Edit: Actually in 2021 Sam only had 4 games with CMC due to injuries they both had.
  15. Interesting to see folks say Darnold was horrible here because in 2022 this was his stat line: Darnold 2022: 190.5 yard/game, 1.5 total TDs/game, 0.5 INTs/game, 8.2 Y/A, 92.6 rating, 4-2 as a starter. Compare to.. Bryce 2025: 192.3 yard/game, 1.6 total TDs/game, 0.7 INTs/game, 6.5 Y/A, 88.4 rating, 8-6 as a starter.
  16. Wow what an insane play by Goff if that actually stands
  17. What team was Robbie Anderson playing for the majority of 2022? What was his production like in 2021? CMC didn't play a full season in 2021 or 2022. DJ was/is a great receiver but so is TMac.
  18. Hyperbole has it limits on usage and I don't see the point in claiming something like that.
  19. We are probably going to have the ORoTY, the highest paid OL in the league (and our RT is very, very good), Coker is the 11th highest ranked receiver in passing rating when targeted even though he hasn't been on the field for most of the season, a 1K yard RB and an exceptional backup... This is probably the most talented offensive roster we've had in a very long time around our QB. I'd take this roster over 2021 or 2022 and anything since, at least at this time of year.
  20. I don't think anyone that watches weekly is sold on Bryce, but how "not sold" they are dictates a lot of posts like the OP's. I'm just happy we're in late December playing meaningful football games.
  21. We haven't even made the playoffs yet and you're talking about the SB, lol. Bryce has a chance to prove people wrong and I hope he does.
  22. Bryce had some great plays today. The scramble to find Sanders in the endzone was a great play and the deep throw to Coker was a great pass. The TMac TD was also a fine throw. Bryce was very elusive today and it benefited us a lot.
