  1. So what you're saying is we need to punt on QB right now lol
  2. Yeah. The offense needs to be built around our best most available player, DJ Moore, going forward. Cmc as the slot option who dominates on the intermediate and short routes and running occasionally works.
  3. Plus he's put on weight to play RB. He's just a great athlete. Let him slim down and play the slot. Only way to recoup the value of that contract imho
  4. If you look at his athletic testing numbers he should be able to play the Curtis Samuel role from a few years ago. But he's a much better player than Curtis, no offense, so he'd do more with those touches. Just an idea.
  5. You can also replace them in the 5th round or with undrafted guys
  6. They probably couldn't afford him since they invest a lot of money into their secondary and might have to pay Lamar soon. Plus Center just isn't a valued position unless you're like Ryan Kalil or someone who's in the convo for best in the game. He's good but he's not that. Hopefully he plays well and earns an extension next year when the team has cap room, he might be banking on himself.
  7. They should play him as a Deebo/Curtis Samuel type them only use him as a RB in the playoffs. Treat him like an NBA big man, let them play power forward during the season then when the playoffs begin and you need to go small and use your best lineup, your great big finally plays the 5
  8. If we don't, I'm still open to him switching to number 5 and playing slot WR with 10 or so carries a game
  9. He and his wife are already Keep Pounding all over the place on social media I follow different teams on Twitter and the ravens are one of them (just to see and compare to Panthers social media) and these people are ALWAYS doing community stuff like visiting schools and doing charity work. They're gonna be assets to Charlotte no matter how Boze plays. It's good that he's actually good at football too. Real happy we signed him.
  10. I absolutely think the Panthers could be competitive with Pickett/Howell if we can actually support them with talent and a good ecosystem of skill guys, but I really get the feeling that in order to win an actual Super Bowl we need to bet in a talented guy like Mahomes or Stafford or Herbert or Burrow, and the QBs next year seem closer to that type of guy than this year.
  11. I've accepted it too and I'm personally prepared to rationalize the poo out of either Willis or Pickett bc they do have things to like about their games, it's just my preference to wait til next year bc I'm patient and I think the prospects have higher upsides. That's really all. I also wouldn't hate it if Fitterer traded down twice in the first to recoup the Darnold picks and the BPA is still Howell. I'd be alright taking him at that point bc we'd be in position to support him like Dak Prescott (which is my main nfl comp for Howell to be honest). I just see the holes in the roster still, the youth that isn't actualized into elite play yet (Brian Burns) and think we'd be better off waiting til next year but I get the desire to see the positives in this year's class. Pickett is a gritty dude who's good at football and probably will stick as a backup no matter what and Willis has a fantastic skill set.
  12. I'm actually okay with this. Especially if he is there to start while a draft pick is groomed. If they can squeeze a year or two of solid play out of him that'd be chalked up to a smart, forward thinking move. Wow, where was this last off-season?
  13. I also think that WR for Boston College, number 4, is an NFL guy, he's consistently getting deep in all these highlights and seen him mentioned on draft Twitter CJ Stroud is accurate as hell but not as big or the runner than Fields was.
  14. Striking how big he is, even though we knew he was like 6'1 coming into the league but he looks bigger than that. He's got star potential, hard to not be excited about him.
  15. Most of these guys are on one year deals and you need to fill out a roster, I'm not expecting them to be stars Offensive line is a weak link prospect, adding solid guys across the board raises the level of play. Seems fine to me, the team needs to find their star players, the big money guys, in the draft.
  16. He also choked away the Super Bowl to a superior QB and his best season might've been the result of Kyle Shanahan. There's a reason Dak, Matt Ryan, kirk Cousins put up great stats but don't seem to win the big one or have great success in the playoffs. Other teams have better QBs.
  17. The AFC is full of elite guys, what are you talking about they're rare? It doesn't take luck, it takes a top fifteen pick. Why settle for a Matt Ryan when you could have better? You want a guy comparable to a qb who choked away the Super Bowl and who's best season was when he was under Kyle Shanahan or someone like Burrow, Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Kyler Murray, sex pest Watson--the best guys were all top fifteen picks and they're better than the guys coming into the league this year.
  18. Yeah sure, when I thought the Panthers might have a pick in the teens I'd have been all for taking a shot on thr local product with good traits but since then I've adjusted my expectations, and see this team for what it is, a young team in a rebuild that has been bitten in the ass by half measures at QB. Look at the AFC playoffs last year and the Super Bowl winner--you need a dude at QB and all these prospects this year are guys with limited ceilings, Howell included. That's called growth, you can discuss these prospects sure but I don't think they're good enough, especially if you're serious about actually being a consistent winner in the future. The QBs next year are simply better. And yes, you draft QBs with one pick each. Next year the team will have their first second and third, to my knowledge, that's when you make a play for a signal caller.
  19. Matt Stafford was also a number one overall pick any way more talented than anyone in this draft. Please raise your standards yall.
  20. If you don't have someone like Allen, Mahome, Herbert, Burrow, or unique as Lamar you can't compete. Why are yall trying to talk yourself into two guys who aren't on their level in any way? Orrrr do you let draft sites and PFF tell you who is good?
  21. Today you need a talented QB Scot, an AFC QB. Exciting means talented currently, this isn't fifteen years ago.
  22. Watch that video, he's clearly a better prospect than either of the guys in this draft
