Agreed. He overthrew what would have been a 99 yard TD to Mingo. The overthrow to TMJ was on TMJ slowing down mid route.

Yep. That’s the story of this game. Good news is that’s correctable and if we can sustain those drives our defense looked decent.

We are going to need to develop into a balanced offense. Corbet coming back or Zavala getting experience will help the OL (who had a solid showing today). Mingo will get better plus we might get Chark for some games letting Thielen slide to the slot where he belongs. Again if we just cut down of the turnovers we will look a lot better. Failed 4th down conversion in the redzone, 2 drive killing INTs by a rookie QB, and a fumble by our RB swung that game completely. We started off solid but simply lost momentum from those turnovers and are too young of a team to comeback from that.

That's a fair assessment of this game. Hopefully we see some evolving on the coaching/scheme end as the season progresses.

You said he doesn't have an NFL arm. A QB without a "NFL arm" drafted at 1 would be considered a bust. He may not have an elite arm, but it is more than enough for the NFL.

Yeah I was impressed, especially first half. They are blitzing now because we have to pass so pressure can be expected.

The only concern you had was his size/durability. Changing that now after his first game is a complete kneejerk reaction.

Turnovers killed us this game. 3-0 with 17 points off our 3. You can’t do that on the road and win. Hopefully we will clean it up and look better at home.
