They have stated (from the Corbett interview) this staff isn’t injecting players with painkillers and having them play through injuries that could get worse. It needed a week to stop swelling. They have said 1-2 weeks from the beginning and it happened on Monday the 18th and he looks like he could be cleared Sunday the 1st. That all adds up. It’s really not as complicated as people are making it. He goes up to Seattle playing on an injured ankle and he can severely injure it and miss the rest of the season. It’s not worth the risk this year at this point in the season. This year is about developing him. This is my exact quote from yesterday's argument, but yeah I REALLY changed my stance.....

You already admitted he was injured. Are you just going to ignore my original question. Have the Saints listed the grade of Carr's sprain? You were crying about Carolina saying nothing more than an ankle sprain without listing the grade. What grade is Carr's sprain? Is it listed? I'm sure you will ignore that just like you ignored Reich literally referencing doctors after claiming he never did and then turning that into "coach speak." Again they aren't going to play Young through injuries that could be made much worse this year. This means his injury is the reason he isn't playing. It wasn't to watch Dalton chunk it 58 times in a loss to Seattle while covering it up with lies by his staff and players.

This is exactly what I have been saying. COULD he have played through his injury. Maybe, but at what risk? Off balance throws, bad habits, or getting a much more serious injury to said ankle leading to him being on IR. It's not worth the risk at week 3 of an 0-2 season dedicated to his development. I imagine they are going to play it pretty safe with his health. Young going on IR early would basically make this a wasted season. I'm just glad the "Reich is doing it because he didn't want Young" conspiracy has died down to just a soft benching, which as you stated is still a dumb way to handle it.

Burns isn't overpaid yet. $30 million plus might be overpayment. My only thing is we have too many holes to dedicate that much money to a pass rusher. Extend Brown (equally as important) for much less money and trade Burns for some assets 1st round plus is ideal IMO.

Oh he is about to crush it with recruiting. Colorado is about to have a shitload more NIL money to play with as well. Sanders has them trending waaay up.

Man I really missed your logic and rationale on here this past week or two. It's been desperately needed!

Imagine if Bell had Horn in front of him still. Also Woods being out might make life harder on him…

I’ve heard of Bates unfortunately for all the wrong reasons as a Panthers fan…

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/38513493/justin-jefferson-tired-talk-0-3-vikings-making-trades?platform=amp Great his pissed off game is going to be against us and our banged up secondary. Let’s just hope Burns and our pass rush can keep Cousins busy enough to limit his looks.
-
Yeah I’m thinking that was some sort of dream…
-
Ben Johnson is legit and I think he was our first choice…
-
Yeah we have really thrived without him here………..
-
What if we make cap room and trade for him. Who will be laughing then JJ?!?!!
-
Against what team?
-
Pay Brown trade Burns. Brown is cheaper, more consistent, and more important to our defense.
-
Could Williams be the extra player in a Chubb-like trade with Burns. Mimicking that trade would be a 1st, 4th, and Williams for our 5th and Burns.
-
Anyone know if Mingo or Luvu are playing? I haven’t seen any update on their injuries.
-
I had Chubb and Najee Harris… Hill is carrying my team.

I’m just showing you where he referred to the doctors. You know like you said he NEVER did. So you are calling it bullshit coach speak when he mentions things you are claiming he didn’t mention. Damned if you do damned if you don’t I suppose. Thats great you are a Bryce guy. He wasn’t my top choice but as soon as Carolina drafted him I hoped and continue to hope he does great. There was a lot to like from his college tape.
-
Yep I feel the same. Show some solid progress and I’ll be satisfied.

“Docs are saying 1-2 weeks” would be sharing what they are saying. This is why it gets difficult to take you seriously on this stuff…. If you can’t accept a quote from the guy stating what doctors are saying as him telling us what doctors you are in some sort of denial.

There might be confusion on a 3 down back (as in one you can use on all 3 downs) vs a 3rd down back. Who knows what Frank was referring to, but if it was about his contract that 3 down back makes the most sense. A RB you don’t have to take off the field. The the basic viewer’s eye it appears Sanders is their 3 down or “feature” back with Hubbard giving him breathers/rest. It’s definitely not a good design whatever the hell is going on. https://www.thecharlottepost.com/news/2023/07/05/panthers/miles-sanders-eager-to-be-three-down-back-in-carolina/#:~:text=“Miles is a three-down,%2C he's a willing blocker.”

I’d say it’s more if the saying Reich, Brown, and Corbett are intentionally lying to the public and made up an injury to bench their QB. I do like how you are trying to spin it now and honestly I don’t blame you. It was getting bad. Claiming Reich never mentioned doctors and ignoring the interview I posted where he does was pretty bad.
-
and if you refuse to believe Reich we have Thomas Brown and our RG Corbett (who is dealing with out doctors) back up that statement. https://theathletic.com/4887450/2023/09/21/bryce-young-panthers-ankle-injury-andy-dalton/ “I have complete trust in our doctors. I’ve been working every single day with them for eight months. Whatever they’re saying, whatever they’re seeing with what they need to do with Bryce, that’s what they’re gonna do,” Corbett said. “I think we made a turning point in this game, kind of the culture shift of being smarter with guys rather than just shooting people up (with painkillers) and being back on the field.”
