Seahawks defense is special

Darnold is also questionable with an oblique injury so this makes this even more plausible. I hate SF so I'll be disappointed.

Panthers promote coach to pass game coordinator

too many cooks in the kitchen -
I sense a restructure incoming for Robert Hunt

Well you're picking and choosing which pundit to listen to. Everyone has confirmation bias

Should Canalas bring someone else in to call offensive plays?
NAS replied to Jackson113.2's topic in Carolina Panthers
Not enough motion and play action, too much RPO -
It’s called being a homer but Kurt Warner is no authority either

I'm expecting a sophomore slump for Shough who will be 27 next season.
-
That will lose you a ton of games.

Mike Tomlin stepping down as HC of the Steelers

It works if the genius is also a defensive mind. But Harbaugh and Tomlin aren't either. -

Harbaugh and Tomlin are both dinosaurs in today's NFL. Their approach doesn't work anymore, you need actual scheme geniuses to be a head coach in the NFL like Shanahan, McVay, Johnson, etc. -
Maybe we actually have a legitimate preseason at this time and let him get that crap out of the way those games
-
Ok, Colin Cowherd
-
None of them are better other than Willis who I brought up
-
We know what Jameis, Howell and Minshew are - not a long term option at all. Davis Mills is interesting but such a small sample size. Even Kyle Allen had a nice run of games once upon a time. There's no proven commodity for starting level QB you can build around. Malik Willis is the only one I would try to bring in for legitimate competition but he'll probably want to be a guaranteed starter somewhere else this offseason.
-
Agreed you can't expect Dan to expose his cards to the media.
-
What's the alternative? Let him play without picking it up and risk him becoming a free agent? I am definitely opposed to a long term contract unless he removes all doubt next year he can carry this franchise but the 5th year option is logical. There hasn't been a #1 draft pick that hasn't had their 5th year option picked up since Baker Mayfield which was dumb move by the Browns
-
How has he not? you get him for another year for $26MM which is reasonable for his level of performance. Do you think you can get a better QB on the free agent market for that same amount?
-
Well it depends on the price, if he's willing to get paid like the 20th best QB, I'm fine with a long term contract lol. But if he wants top 10 or 15 money, nope.
-
Smart move - now draft a developmental QB or sign a legitimate backup to compete and push him to be better. Andy Dalton is washed and should be released.

Second year knocked it out of the park. I'll give him a pass. Coker and Mike Jack more than made up for it anyway.

It's concerning that Canales isn't an offensive genius he was sold to be. He's a good motivator and manager of the locker room, but in today's NFL you need your head coach to be more than that. Otherwise, he needs to relinquish his play calling duties to someone who is.
-
Agreed. He's vastly overpaid - not sure if they can restructure him or release him after next year if we can draft his replacement I thought Cade Mays did a solid job at guard.
-
I think it's a schematic issue, teams figured out what we were doing. They need to get back to mor power runs instead of zone.
