I guess we will get to see if it will work or not in the coming seasons. Because barring a complete collapse Rhule's not going anywhere for a few more seasons.

And also that’s sad as fug to say that Rhule won’t go anywhere. This dude does not belong even as an NFL position coach.  Truly embarrassing having him as our coach IMO

Yep, agreed.  We have some foundation pieces out there that could win a few games with 1st graders drawing plays. Question is what type of WAR (to steal a baseball term) Rhule gives you.  Right now it seems well below negative, and the worry is that he will slow these kids development.  But agreed… we’ll see

7,8,9 wins ain’t gonna cut it.

Lmao, if somehow we did get to this threshold, Tepper has thus far proven to be a coward when it comes to holding Rhule accountable. Obviously small sample size, but Rhule 1000% should have been fired after last year. Since that didn’t happen, it’s anybody’s guess.  Rhule might get his 7 year Jay-Z wish, while we lust after the Jets and Browns relative success

The approach.  The approach transcend coaching changes.

I’ll give you the approach I agree with, but you 100% need coaches and schemes to develop players.  “The approach transcends coaching changes” is some hippie bs jargon I’m out for.   These players won’t be who we want them to be if we don’t have the right coaches in place

Honestly I think it’s up to Fitts to teach a new Owner the ropes.. and this might be a learning lesson!! You hired me as a GM let me run things.. who knows who said what!! All speculation as a fan!!  I think I seen from othe Panther reports.. they are speculating Rhule as been relieved of personnel hires

We can only hope Rhule isn’t making any personal decisions at this point.  Clearly unacceptable he is still our head coach.  Just not good that he is obviously desperate, as he knows he can’t have a losing season.

  6. We knew this would be the case and honestly thank god.  Watson’s personal stuff aside, he wouldn’t have made us a legitimate contender.  It’s past time to get rid of Rhule, but hopefully some adult in this clownshow organization can ensure we won’t make any crazy moves to further fug our future.  If we can stop with the fugery and making desperate moves, we can actually rebuild this poo

He gets destroyed in coverage routinely. Athletic or not, he has only shown value against the run.

I would argue almost the opposite. He is better in space where he can use his ability to close out against run, vs at a MLB spot. “The Jaguars trusted Myles Jack in pass coverage so much that sometimes they would even slide him out to cover receiver in the slot”

80 % of stats are bullshet.  There are stats on it.

Ah yes, you are correct.  I remember that one actually. Full steam ahead with Rhule/Jay-Z it is!  Maybe after we select first four years in a row, his 7 year plan will get us into playoffs

Disagree…again these guys need time and they will figure it out.  QB is the ultimate hurdle IMO.  Without that you’re fugged but you have to draft that guy if you are Carolina.  Rodgers, Brady, etc ain’t coming here.

I mean I applaud the optimism. Can’t remember the source but the stats behind coaches who blow ass like Rhule has first two years EVER being successful head coaches was a ridiculously low percentage.  I wouldn’t want Rhule selecting or coaching any drafted QB.   Just a stat to keep in mind, Rhule was 0-11 vs ranked teams at Baylor… really should never have been an NFL head coach, as we can tell with the damage already done.    Again, applaud the optimism you have though haha

fug it, lets just go ahead and trade Moore and Burns for a couple firsts and maybe a 2nd or 3rd and completely blow this bitch up and start over.  Those guys are not helping us win games now anyways.  Also trade CMC too.  Build a nasty O-Line, get a QB, and actually do things the right way for once.

If we could get firsts for Burns and/or Moore, as sad to see them go, that would be ideal for our future. Not positive that’s possible though

Disagree.  The defense was much better.  Get OL tooled up and run it back.  QB isn’t getting fixed outside of a miracle so wait for better options in the draft next year.  Darnold was 23 and picked high.  It was a gamble.  We tried other options that didn’t work out.  You keep working which Rhule and Fitty will definitely do.

Winning 1 of your last 13 games is unacceptable no matter how much “work” Rhule is doing.  I sure as hell don’t want to “run it back” with that dude at the helm, who absolutely SCREAMS apathy.  I’m not on board with the Jay-Z, 7 year plan for Rhule.  He absolutely should’ve been canned before this offseason.  Just have to pray he doesn’t mortgage our future more, or it’ll be a looooong time until we can snif any type of real success

Let's face it, things are so chaotic here and the underside of the organization is churning so bad that no one can predict what will happen here, except to say it will go badly.

This is going to be a long, slogging year.

The issue is, it wont just be this year that is long and slogging. The longer this goes on, the worse whoever has to clean this up has it.  Giving Rhule this draft and off-season signings will handicap at a minimum for 2 more years.   It’s absolutely brutal, but we are turning into the Browns/Jets 2.0.  By time we are sniffing the playoffs, guys like Burns, Moton, Horn, Chinn will be making plays for other teams.

I think swinging for a QB is a good move (especially this year with our draft options). But Tepper is about to get a serious dose of reality when star QBs give his coach the stiff arm.

This already happened with us trying to get Stafford last year lmao.  Now that Rhule has further proven his incompetence, no one will want to come here until he’s gone.  You really want to come here with a poo head coach, poo o-line, Robby Anderson as your #2, no real TE’s and an oft-injured CMac??  Nah, no one wants to come to this literal dumpster fire of an org with Rhule at helm

Campen is a well respected OL coach.  Some FA may be specifically interested in playing for him.

If the contract offered is similar to other teams, having a boss that you enjoy working with makes all the difference.

I’d argue the team stability and potential for success are MUCH bigger than whether or not you like the position coach.   It’s a factor, just not the major factor. Even though you might like Campen, his boss, Rhule, is the laughingstock of the league

Maybe you are right. I mean look how good they are in the nfl right now, But what if Joe Brady is the reason why they are so good? I mean his coaching had to help. Maybe they wouldn’t have been nearly as good if Brady didn’t teach them and find the right plays for them to be successful at.  You can be the best coach in the world but if you have a crappy offensive line and a young qb who isn’t that good then your offense is going to still suck. Coaching can only get you so far.

😂. Yes. Joe Brady is the reason Joe Burrow, Chase and Jefferson are so good.  We just didn’t let him reach a full year with our guys, otherwise we would’ve turned our season around and would be celebrating a Super Bowl appearance
