  1. While I agree Bain got a lot of the double teams this year, Mesidor actually faced a ton of double teams in 2024 (along with Bain when healthy) and still had pretty good stats. The much better DT play Miami had in 2025 helped limit the number of double teams Mesidor faced. I actually think Mesidor has one of the best combos of speed + technique among edge rushers in the class (probably behind Bain & Bailey). Run defense might be a problem for him and he is not good in coverage (aka he needs to be strictly rushing the passer/playing the run every down he is on the field). Jarred Verse was old also (24 at the start of his rookie year), so I hope we aren't using age as a big knock on his draft rank. We could still get 5 years out of him before he hits his 2nd contract and then move on if he gets pricy his age 29/30 season. Medicals definitely need to be looked at closely for him, though he has stayed healthy the last 2 seasons.
  2. Like Mesidor, Hill, and Wheatley, but would like to see a trade down at 19 (to like 25ish) if we take Mesidor and am not sure Hill is there at 51
  3. Maybe PFF calls it Big Time throws for Bryce because since he is such a little guy, any throw pass the line of scrimmage counts as a Big Time throw... And it would have been nice if PFF included Big Time Throw attempts/game on that graphic also. Because we all know Bryce attempted like maybe 2 deep passes per game
  4. Hmmm... Well, one of them consistently got dumb penalties that you never see any other receiver commit like offensive offsides on 4th down. One of them consistently would just run routes out of bounds for no reason. XL's only saving grace is that he has been a solid blocker at WR for us There is a reason XL often didn't get the ball thrown to him - he made some of the dumbest mistakes I have ever seen from a receiver... Even receivers that have zilcho talent (Mingo, Terrace Marshall, and all of our other WR draft busts) didn't make mistakes this dumb. It is bad enough when you aren't helping your team because you can't get open; it is much worse when you are so bad and dumb that you are actively hurting your team. I honestly don't think there is any fixing XL. The dude is just an idiot and lacks any kind of awareness and common sense on and off the football field
  5. Agreed that I highly doubt he falls out of the top 5 unless some character issues or bad medical history arises.
  6. Last thing we need to do is be trading up in the 1st round of this draft, unless we are talking like 1 or 2 spots if somebody good like Styles falls. I can very easily see a good talent like Peter Woods being there at 19. I would like it if we trade back in the draft to the late 20s (a QB needy team might want to trade up to our spot and take Ty Simpson) and take Mesidor. I know he is old, but I think he might be one of the best edge rushers in the draft and would arguably be top 10 if he was 21 or 22.
  7. My guess: Jets, Dolphins, Browns, Steelers will be very interested in Willis. Falcons (if they think Penix isn't the answer) and Vikings (if they think JJ isn't the answer) could possibly be interested.
  8. Not sure I want to pay a king's ransom for him. Back to back years now where he has missed games because of injury (yes, I know it is debatable that the Raiders intentionally benched him to tank this season). Would I love to have him, sure. Is 1 very good pass rusher gonna make us a Superb Owl contender, no.
  9. For free agent QBs, I think you have to look at a cheap vet. Mariota would be ideal, but I could see him being pretty costly. Tyrod Taylor is somebody I wouldn't mind. Trubisky and Zach Wilson are also worth a look.
  10. I'm guessing they knew he was a pro athlete. Otherwise, I would have been surprised if he didn't get a bullet in him with how trigger happy police can be
  11. Players to look at: Cheap (1 year): Demario Davis, Onyemata Medium: Jaylinn Hawkins, Khalil Mack Wishful thinking (Expensive): Boye Mafe, Linderbaum, Jaelan Phillips (probably will be tagged by the Eagles) Haven't looked at everyone who is available yet though
  12. From what I have seen on several websites, he will either be very close or surpass Kendrick Lamar's viewers from last year
  13. Not only that, Remmers had to go up against prime Von Miller, arguably one of the best pass rushers the NFL has seen. Campbell just got abused by literally anybody with a name on their jersey for Seattle Sad thing is the LG was also very bad, just not Campbell bad. It also didn't help that Maye didn't get designed rollout playcalls and took way too long to throw the ball at times.
  14. Not sure I would rely on AI for accurate results... And I think the only way to have watched the Turning Point one was on Youtube, whereas most people that watched Bad Bunny watched it live on NBC/Peacock. I won't even get into how terrible of a metric views are when I can watch a video for 5 seconds on Youtube and it counts as a view. Plus the many bots people can have to inflate views.
  15. Not sure I have ever seen a lineman look so weak as a Campell looked yesterday. Dude got bullrushed and pushed backwards 5+ yards on like half of the pass plays.
  16. Aka, we need time to figure out what BS reason we are going to use as an excuse to hopefully get a more lenient punishment...
  17. He is definitely a receiver that will be out of the NFL within a few years and will probably be broke shortly after that
  18. Very glad that Luke not playing a ton of seasons didn't hurt his HOF chances. Dude was as dominant of a defender there was while he played in the NFL. Still miss him & TD with their elite LB play when we had them
  19. I get what you are saying, but let's also keep in mind teams pretty much had their backups in after halftime the last month and change of the season against the Jets. After their win against the Falcons (lol Failcons), they lost by: 24, 28, 23, 32, and 27. Much easier to rack up garbage time yards against backups. But yeah, our offense was ass this season outside of like maybe 4 games + the playoff game.
  20. Yikes, I wonder if he was the only person that said yes to the OC job for the Jets
  21. When have we not looked like ass in the preseason... Easily going on a decade of looking completely lost in the preseason
  22. Have the games in Europe been confirmed yet? Happy to see we have 9 home games, but I figure we will get screwed over and have 1 of them be in another country...
  23. That tells you everything you need to know when the Pro Bowl is happening on a random Tuesday in god knows what city. Until the day they hold something like the 4 Nations or WBC like hockey and baseball do, it's a meaningless event that honestly no NFL player gives 2 shits about
  24. It's crazy how good Staal still is at his age
  25. Not sure you can blame the front office there. We had 3 OL have the equivalent of season ending injuries between Hunt, BC, and Icky despite having a good unit IMO. Now... I do blame the front office drafting RBs and old college busts (DJ) when we had more pressing needs
