This is actually a good observation joking aside. I didn't think about it, but I hear the kill kill kill constantly during the game, and now Im curious how many of those "kills" (changing to backup play) actually change to a play for a screen or a run instead of running the play called. I dont have access to all his passes, but maybe someone can look into what plays/passing chart were the result of the "kill". I think there would be some very interesting perspective into whether Reich is calling a scared game or if Bryce is audibling into a scared game.

That absolutely would make sense too, maybe they think Youngs Mind is fragile? Whatever it is, it clearly isnt working. I think about what Justin Fields showed last year. Im not saying Justin Fields is any good whatsoever, but Bears fans atleast had some excitement at the end of last season not because he was winning games and not even because he wasnt turning the ball over, it was because he did some big splashy things that made fans hopeful.

Obviously with our play calls for 42 screen passes and nothing but the safest passes, we're trying to coddle Young. Is Young good? Is he Bad? NO ONE fuging KNOWS because the plays being called are basically what you call for game managers. Well ya know what, we're not winning, we're not gonna win, and we need to give up on that hope, so we need to just air it out. If Young goes out and throws 15 interceptions but we have at least a few flashes of good explosive plays then that gives us more hope than this constant garbage. Cam had 4 INTs through 3 weeks, we don't talk about that and we were 1-2 and only won because we played Blaine Gabbart in a Monsoon. Why did we have so much hope and forget about all of Cams Mistakes? Welp, its because Chud encouraged him to air it out down field, and if we lost, at least he had the splash plays that fanbases die for. Hell, that's what Indy did with Peyton Manning. HELL, its literally what we did last week with Andy Dalton, just call it the same and if Young is the one checking down constantly then they need to scold him because that's a losing formula and we aren't just gonna out-talent everyone like what he was able to do at bama. TL:DR - Coaches, stop playing "not to lose", just assume we're gonna lose and atleast show us fans SOMETHING, ANNYTHING positive with our #1 overall pick.

That said, no one, not even Andy Daltons mother have ever said they want to see Andy Dalton play QB right now. Dalton is on his last leg in the NFL and offers absolutely nothing to us for future hope regardless of how he does. Since we suck, we need to play young players and see if there's any hope for the future with them.

I'll tell ya why no ones happy. Our #1 overall pick had zero to do with offensive improvement. Our top 10 pick from the year prior is rumored to have just had another false Start Penalty. Our top 10 pick from the year before that is on the sideline again made of glass. Our defense took a definite step back and its because we're down our top 2 CBs, our top 2 MLBs, and our top Safety. I want to have optimism, but its just not there right now. If Bryce had been the guy who threw for 300 and a couple TDs the optimism would be off the charts, but everyone knows Dalton isnt the future so his meaningless stats mean nothing to us.
