  1. Bright side, at least NFL netowrk is doing split screen while the bears game winds down
  2. based only on this photo from the Jets practices, Bryce looks HUGE (source https://nypost.com/2023/08/09/jets-offensive-line-looks-brutal-versus-panthers-in-major-problem/)
  3. book now so you can save up the $$ Circus Circus is looking at $600/night that weekend. Tropicana is $1000/night source: https://www.vegas.com/iv2/searchresults/hotels/20240210/-/20240212/rooms/1/sort/popular/product/any https://www.kayak.com/hotels/Las-Vegas,Nevada,United-States-c35107/2024-02-10/2024-02-12/2adults?sort=rank_a
  4. All these player interviews support the narrative of the team being All In behind Bryce. We certainly weren't hearing similar QB support comments in recent years, whixh make the sound bites we are hearing all that more legit
  5. on a related note: Panthers get the lead spot and a small feature section in Peter King's FMIA piece? The last time this happened was... uh.... 2015? Either Peter King has been kidnapped and secretly been replaced by a cyborg.... OR .... reporters are giving us a fair shake this year, now that HWSNBN is no longer hanging around
  6. Math problem: HOW MANY PIZZAS WOULD YOU ORDER ? Let's see what ChatGPT has to say: ChatGPT is broken.
  7. Panthers fan in the front row of the Pillow Fight championship. Represent!
  8. It's supposed to be funny. And not written for us. Some people are fans of the Carolina Panthers. But many, many more people are NOT fans of the Carolina Panthers. This 2023 Defector NFL team preview is for those in the latter group https://defector.com/why-your-team-sucks-2023-carolina-panthers
  9. Oh, and for the Cue Sports segment they'll have Jeanette Lee, the black widow. Looking forward to that too
  10. The Ocho has been an annual event for ESPN for a few years, as a way to take some time to highlight some silliness (and go back to things they used to cover when they focused on the "Entertainment" part of their name. Slippery Stairs, Rock Skipping, and Corgi Races are highlights. The Excel comp is interesting to see about 10 minutes worth. Going to be DVRing a lot and fast-forwarding through various events. This is the 2nd year that Rock Hill has leaned into this as a tourist/commerce touristy event. (And I think they're also hosting little league softball championships in a week or two???)
  11. Hope the team doesn't get used to practicing on grass at Wofford.
  12. Last year, saw a handful of Panthers folks hanging out in the crowd. 13. Not according to the chart here https://support.google.com/youtubetv/answer/13316318 It says preseason games are viewable on YouTube TV, but not for Sunday Ticket by itself. That's because YTV will carry nfl network or other channels that will air games. All Sunday Ticket phrasing suggests it's only for "Sunday" games regardless, so anything airing on Thurs or Sat typically wouldn't be on ST anyway. Of course, all subject to change when it's game day and we see for sure
  14. Supposedly.... Paramount+ will stream the pre-season game between Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers on August 25 at 8 p.m. ET NFL Network will carry the other two (including the Jets game) No word yet on whether these will be affected by any regional or blackout rules
  15. Money, and the NFL. Apple lost the deal because they wanted to offer individual teams, but the nfl didn’t want that . there is likely some analysis that shows that they get more subscriptions offering the full package bs the number of subs they’d have doing it in a more fan-of-one-team setup.
  16. VPNs might hurt you more than help, but YouTube is trying to make it as straightforward as possible to watch games: If the game is carried on local TV, Sunday Ticket will black it out because you can watch it via local broadcast. If the game is not carried on local TV, then Sunday Ticket should have the game.
  17. This all depends on where in South Carolina you are and whether the Panthers are officially the local broadcast. I'd hope it would be for SC, but different DMAs can choose to air different games. If an Atlanta station decides to air the CAR v GB game (ie, not an Atlanta game) -- Sunday Ticket would block the CAR v GB game for Atlanta DMA because the game is available on local broadcast. In this case, CAR vs GB would be considered "in market" because it's airing locally
  18. Good question. you get all the Sunday games that are not offered locally at your official YouTube home address. They're blacked out on the Ticket because you can watch them on local channels. But if you're travelling -- then the games that would be blacked out would be the games airing in the local city you happen to be in. So in theory -- if you live in Charlotte and only want to watch Panthers games, then Sunday Ticket would black out the Panthers games since they'd be available locally. But if you travel to (let's say) the middle of South Dakota where the local broadcast features the Vikings, then the Vikings games would be blacked out and you (should) be able to watch the Panthers on Sunday Ticket. At least, that's the way YouTube is saying it's supposed to work. Whether it ends up that way or not is something we'll find out in September There may be rules regarding YouTube TV (or Sunday Ticket) access remotely over extended periods of time where devices need to be "reset" occasionally via streaming from the account holder's home address, but that shouldn't affect the majority of subscribers.
  19. If you're in the Panthers TV area and only want to watch Panthers games, then Sunday Ticket is not for you. All games should be available over the air (no cable needed) other than the Amazon games. (The rule is that if it's on a pay cable service, it should also be carried by a local broadcast station - typically an ESPN/ABC partnership, but not always, depending on market)
  20. Please see above. It's "unlimited" in the subscriber home.
  21. Well how does Youtube work for you? Since the standalone package will be viewable on YouTube - that should answer it's viability for you (one would think)
  22. Wouldn't recommend trying to watch Sunday Ticket over a cell phone connection. Just my opinion. I mean, you CAN -- because Youtube TV is supposed to be available over cellular. But still...
