  1. I may not be reading his contract correctly, but I think we had already paid out his gauranteed money before the trade... Signing bonus was $15mil... GTD was $20,500,000, he made $4.7 in 2018 and he made well over $5mil in 2019. If he had sucked in 2020 we could've cut him for nothing. I heard that Rhule made an example out of Turner and that the trade was to save value because he was going to be cut.
  2. Ok. List your reasons why you think Rhule is a good coach.
  3. This team will be worse in 2021 than they were in 2020. My guess is week 13-15.
  4. These same guys were dancing in the streets when Teddy was signed. Now it's Teddy's fault and not the staff's.
  5. Moton is a solid player, don't get me wrong. Maybe he should've been moved to LT instead of dealing for Okung. We needed all the help we could get on OL. Could've used that $20 mil delta between Teddy and Kyle Allen to upgrade that group, but oh well...
  6. Huh? Again, who can blame Teddy here? Teddy is who he was. It's the staff's fault for thinking he was somebody else.
  7. Who was better on that 2019 team? I don't think trading Turner for Okung made our line better.
  8. Maybe so, but the last thing I would alter is practicing the hardest situations to perform in. Also, it's not like these guys know how to run an NFL practice or have an approach to alter for covid. This season was all they know.
  9. Yes. Clearly I don't agree with what we are doing. This is obvious though, right?
  10. No, it's not. If you're devoid of talent, you take the BPA. You don't reach for a corner or trade back for depth.
  11. I don't think that covid is a valid excuse or reason. That's what I meant.
  12. Pretty sure you're assuming things that you can't back up. I'm going to trust Teddy on this one.
  13. 1. They thought Teddy was good enough to invest a bunch of money and years into. 2. Like Teddy, he didn't go out and sign the best players available, they signed guys he and Joe knew from earlier in the careers. 3. They have VERY little NFL experience in the building. From the owner on down. Now a guy who's known as a great dude and NFL pro say out loud that they didn't practice like other teams. 4. They decided to try for the playoffs instead of tanking for the generational QB. Ended up with a horrible season and draft position. 5. They traded down in the draft to get depth, which was an odd move for a roster devoid of talent. I don't want to hear it about the percieved potential of the drafted players or the draft grades, let's see them play first. I'm just talking about the strategy employed, you can't not say it was a quantity over quality draft approach. 6. They oddly sent away our best offensive lineman just before the season started. 7. They got rid of all of our expereinced vets and completely bungled Cam.
  14. Hurney overpaid existing players. Did he often overpay on the open market? Joe Brady wanted Teddy because he thought he was legitmately good after they worked together in NO.
  15. Correct. Hard to blame a guy who played to the same level he's played at his entire career.
  16. That's fine and I've already heard that from people inside the org. The problem is that the Teddy signing doesn't seem like something Hurney would do. I don't believe it. Just like most of the rest of the signings, I believe Teddy was here b/c Joe Brady worked with him in New Orleans. This staff signed players they knew.
  17. It's not clear to you... but that says more about you than anything else.
  18. Nothing he did last season should've been surprising to anyone. That's who he was everywhere else he's been. What is Carolina going to say except they were wrong?
  19. He might end up being a good coach at some point, but it's clear (to me at least) that he's struggling to keep his head above water at this level.
  20. Oh look, another reasonble post. Cheers!
  21. Ya and did he ever say that those other coaches didn't put in the required time for those situations?
  22. Hey, a reasonable post... what's that doing here?
  23. My advice would be to listen to what he actually said instead of just reacting to the quote...
