I get what you mean in a sense but Joe Burrow is a fantastic example of someone who does not have any support. He has 1 star WR and one good #2 WR and that’s it…..but he still shows he’s a franchise guy. We have invested very very very heavy in protecting Bryce and trying to give him weapons and he has shown the ability to be a game manager/Dink and dunk specialist. By the end of year 3 you should be able to tell if you have a franchise QB or not.

My Visions of the future were close but I could not see that Dave Canales was drugged before the start of the game. That was not supposed to happen.

I posted this in another thread, but to put into perspective how bad today was, Jimmy Clausens worst game as a pro was 7/13 completions, 36 yards and 1 int. Bryce had more attempts and had less than 20 more yards that the worst game of Jimmys Career. This is with John Fox not even attempting to win the game. This performance today is on Bryce and Dave 100000000000%

I agree. Both can be true….its not like our game plan is lighting the league on fire. We still have no offensive identity. We try to be a running team but never fully commit. The only thing we excel at is the check down and 4 yard pass

I know Bryce sucks but as an “offensive head coach”, to have 54 passing yards in a game, you need to seriously evaluate yourself and your ability to come up with a game plan in the modern NFL.

Our “offensive coach” has shown anything but the ability to lead a top performing offensive unit. You hit it on the head, We have zero creativity. The only thing we are decent at is the 5 yard dink pass.

I have a guy who has won me a lot of money this year on bets and he also predicted both. Dolphins have a much higher chance to pull the upset but panthers are still favored to win according to the model he uses but it’s a much closer score predicted

Pathetic that we went from Cam to where we are now. Most fans didn’t appreciate him enough. There was never a question who would be getting the ball if it’s a critical play under 2 yards

He stepped away from the media (part due to bad PR, part due to the league forcing him to after throwing a drink and checking a bar owner for a sign they put up). Do you believe for a second that he just magically backed off behind the scenes and does not have his weekly meetings with the Gm and Coach?

All this to say we had a golden opportunity that literally fell into our lap to finally win the division and we couldn’t even beat the Saints who have 4 wins total, 2 from sweeping us. This franchise will continue to be pathetic while he owns the team. Even with our “improved season” this is the results we get from our offensive minded head coach finishing up year 2:

Hell yeah it was vanilla, but that seems to be our offense. As a matter of fact we have had 6 games where we have scored over 17 points this season and some were a fluke where we got lucky or had the defense score or put us in a great position to score. This was before yesterday terrible showing:

Wilks has had a ton of opportunities in the NFL. His days may be numbered unless he goes back to a lesser role like secondary coach.
