  1. They had plenty of time at the 50. That INT was on Baker.
  2. Another example of why Baker is over rated as fug.
  3. Imo, they must do that mostly for 1 reason: mahomes. Don't give him the ball again.
  4. This OL for Cleveland needs to take this game back over. If given times Baker can pull this off. But they HAVE to keep him clean
  5. LOLZ Browns still da Browns. Still time left but they are making a case right now for choke of the week!
  6. To whomever said mahomes wouldn't have picked the bears up. Yeah watch this Cleveland game where he is yet again under pressure right after the snap and still putting up big play after big play. GOAT in the making.
  7. Man, this Cleveland OL is dominating KC. Mayfield can bake a cake back there before he throws.
  8. If we look at the 1st half, he was great. Players left points on the board. Now the 2nd half, ugh that was all types of terrible. I'm thinking there is another guy pulling the real strings and pulled up. As it's about par for the course. I want Brady to dial it up for 4 quarters. Imo some of the letting up on the gas is from his boss. He didn't pull this in previous stop or learn under a guy that pulled up either.
  9. Definitely a game of 2 halves. The 1st was lights out. Few misteps but very good all around. 2nd was just enough not to gold but very much playing not to loose. It's a rough mix on how to look at the squad. Still think we have serious issues on the OL. it's overwhelmingly the #1 issue. We can no longer just enforce our will on the ground like the franchise is known for since year #1. That's a little bit of an issue. D, they have the horse and if they keep the pressure dialed up they can be mighty good. #2 issue ugh special teams are yet again special.
  10. Coaching still an issue. I'm sorry but after a TO wtf are we running the play clock down to the point of burning a TO. CMC saved the coaches ass again with that run though
  11. After such a good 1st half, I must say, Matt Rivera Rhule hopefully gets a lesson on why it's silly to sit on a lead.
  12. 17/22 and 234 in a half can play. Yeah there was a miss it 2 in there but damn that's a nice half, even if we left 10+ on the field. I want to see the shanahan, and billy B style and keep it up till it's 00:00 on the clock.
  13. So glad Sam got this game 1st. Kick off rust, get settled in, and less pressure than say the Bucs. Hope he can rebuild the confidence and swag he had at USC. He has all the talent in the world, just needs some confidence he can get it done. Helps he has a ton of playmakers. Hes had a bit of pressure to deal with but he's managed ok. Get the line fixed and there's a chance to surprise. Still super nervous teams learn to overload the left side though and take the deep threat away.
  14. Agreed. I am shocked he has stuck so long too. He is a 1 trick pony as a rusher, but those have real value. Glad the new staff has held on to him.
  15. Whew. Yeah I lolz every time someone goes ypa grading systems. It's not contextual at all.
  16. I hope you are not implying anything about dax v TB here. Cause lord if you are.....
  17. Let's see, the last few years no decades is to work on both the QB position and both lines. We had mediocre line last year. half the o-line solved from last year's team: Moton and Miller/paradis. Those last 2 are serviceable and upgradable but we're not going to kill us. Unless you start both and down grade other positions and by God that's what we actually accomplished. We go into FA with a great plan: target O-line depth. Not sold on elf as a solid backup but hey had to take some chance there. Cam Erving was fine as a backup hold the fort for a few game as a starter. Not thrilled with these at the $ but they are solid depth. Although solid depth for a playoff team with high aspersions. Or low end starters like they are here. They are the "all in style moves" to make a run if your good starters go down for a short time, these are the guys with experience you want vs young guys still learning the trade. Rebuilding teams don't really focus on experienced vets at this level for their backups. Backups for a rebuilding teams are the development guys. So we did exactly what Hurney would have done (woops). Enter the draft. Still needing to really upgrade the starting line and what do we do, go completely counter to the trend and go CB 1st. I love horn, he will be absolutely great. Odds are they don't throw his way in later years and that's nice. We had the chance to really lock down a top guy in Slater or Darrisaw to find another bookend and take an average line from 2020 to a above average line. This would have been anything but all in. Thank ron if you wish for gifting us a win with Haskins, but it wasn't like it was a 1 guy class at OT. Then we later go find a conversion project in Brady and a guy that needs some conditioning in brown. Im fine with this as we need that as a rebuilder but left us in a real mess at the starting unit. If we wanted to really build it thru the draft swing and a miss in the 1st So now we are looking at starting 2 backups (stop gap backups at that) to start the year. They had a chance to really take a step forward but did the exact opposite. So yeah we have a reason to be concerned. Especially with the QB not having a track record of over coming a suspect line.we could now go another off-season still needing help at OT and QB. We could have solved the OT in the draft day 1 but went counter to the trend. So now we will be right back here next year with a boat load of skill players but no line or QB to get them the ball. We saw that story the last couple years. But hey let's try again......
  18. Even Neal ffs. Pair him with big boy Brown on the right side and move Brady to LG and moton to LT (should have been done this year but wtf ever) Center would still be WIP, but it be a mean ol line to really let CMC and Hubbard roll behind.
  19. He had a good staff there in 2018 and 2019. Sounds like he had a knee injury in 2019 but played thru it..... He has the tools. Think for him it's more about reps and getting to play against higher caliber players on a consistent basis. He's also cheaper than Grier and easier to stash for another year. Long term he's a backup. NFL arm but no touch at this point (2019) and issues with footwork. Only has the fastball but it's good, very good. Big time gun slinger. He had a chance before Wilson to stick around and maybe get there one day with the Jets. Now that was never going to happen so I get why he left one PS for another.
  20. If a 3rd is all it takes for Julio, sign us up. He's worth that even at his salary. Its 50/50 he moves even if he wants to. Falcons can't really just throw him away for only a 2nd really, but that contract and age bit makes it tough to take him back for a 1st unless you really have room and the team to make a SB run.
  21. Agree that the door is open for Smith as a returner/ST starter with Pharoh Cooper gone. He should focus on PR/KR, coverage teams day one kinda like the last Smith did to start his career here. Honestly, Smith is likely a 2022 guy once they decide on what to do with Anderson and DJ. Also think David Moore vs Smith should be a toss up as #4 WR. David Moore is a know commodity with Fitterer and the NFL, so they have a solid guy if none of the rookies work out. Pride is maybe the dime guy at this juncture and that's a big stretch. Agree he's got a lot of competition from 2 rookies, Jackson, and the 2 FA brought in. Agree he would be a total shock to start right now. Even with Bouye missing the 1st 2 games, he's going to struggle to get past the dime spot to open the season. He has to clear 1 of Melvin, Jackson, or Horn in weeks 1-2, and then also Bouye after that to get into the top 3. I hope he gets to redshirt in essence in 2021 (he needed it last year) and grabs the #3 spot next year.
  22. Yeah Elf is the C in waiting as it stands today. I'm with you that I'm not thrilled with that but, who knows, maybe he gets back to average. Maybe Moore works out as an UDFA at C, but not hitching my wagon to that. Erving would get the 1st crack in 2022 if ELF fails, but I'm not really feeling great with Erving as more than a backup (and a pricy one). Think Erving was brought in as a plug to patch the dam whenever there is a hole; he's the super sub. Super backup IMO, but will forced into a starting role. I'm going with LT as the #1 need again on the line. I'm thinking Christinsan is a LG more than a LT. And that's ok. Think he would grade out as a fantastic LG in a zone blocking scheme. I think they have to keep Moton right now as he's the only good lineman they really have. Yes it's at RT, but they are not finding a LT in FA they can afford. So keep him at a premium for 3-4 years and look for the cheap rookie at LT or role out with a scrap heap guy yet again (okung and other were serviceable). I Would hate to see Brady go to RT out of need because we screwed up with Moton, it create another hole..... Think they have 4+ guys to plug in at RG so that's not an issue in 2022. I do like that we have a few guys that can play 2 or more positions on the line, that's useful for backups. So in 2022 that's: LT: TBD, Scott, Erving LG: Christinsan, Daley, Moore Elf, Erving, Moore RG: Erving, Miller, Brown RT: Moton, Erving, Scott That's 10. Daley would be in a scrap with Brown, Moore, Miller and any rookies to stick.
