Official my god how have we sunk so low Panthers at Falcons thread
chbright replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Abdullah was used wrong his whole NFL career. He is great on screens and a speed back. But he isn't gonna move a pile at all. -

Admitting it is the 1st step....

Continuation with Watson: if he doesn't get to play in 22, you essentially can get a free ride in 22. Rhule could turn pockets out to I have terrible QB no picks schtick to get a little more time.

Away with logic you fiend, the mob runs on emotions.

Could it be Joey B was saved by 2 guys: Joe Burrow @ LSU and Sean Payton @ NOLA?
-
Had to make sure the lineman that beat him sooo bad got .5 sack there.

Does Rhule pull a Bobby Petrino and BOLT for college?

25 to 3?!?!? What did he need to do today with a lot of guys offensive players injured and also easily shut down the Panthers offense. -

That would be so boss. Rhule was seen as a smart hire, judge a bad one. And to own Rhule like he did today, boss move for a guy on the way out anyway -

And they can't catch the last 2 weeks for what 7.8 qrts. Bring in more QBs for Anderson to drop passes from. Same with DJ and Hubbard too. -

Agree the line by far is issue #1. #2 is the dumbass OC. Now he gets a shred of a pass (but he can go too) as the poo on the line is so bad idk what he can do to really make this look like a middle of the road offense. After that we have a broken QB. And now also have butterfingers everywhere. Unless we draft lord Jesus Christ to float in the air and walk to the end zone, we are doomed. Then again we have a bunch of CBS and less picks. -

Howell isn't solving this either. I'm not sold Lamar Jackson, prime tom Brady, damn anyone solves the drops or the line that can't stop a single stunt. -

So we just saw a a loaded Cleveland line bulldoze their way to a win with a staff that understood WTF they needed to do to keep the ball moving. And we see this poo here for 3 qrts today and 3.8 last week. It's 2 damn things that must change: the line and the OC. But hey we just saw for all the PJ shills he is the worst backup in the league and now have a 5th year option on a dead QB for big $. Fitt is quickly going from a good looking hire to really bad really quick. -

So another drip by Mr Anderson. You don't say. So he gets a check and checks out again like in NY. Atleast Rhule getting his guys paid. -
Losing to the Giants - should someone get fired?
chbright replied to hepcat's topic in Carolina Panthers
If we get lit on D, someone's head on that side should roll. Jones and his nobody skill position players would need the game of their lives to not make heads roll. Outside of a healthy Jones, this is last year's Detroit lions team we saw with a banged up Stafford. They have a line that might just be worse than ours before the loss of the only OL worth a damn at LT. This is a meeting where the Panthers DL feast like earlier this year, but is more about the aweful OL in NY than anything. Just like the Jets. -
Panthers not in mix to acquire Texans QB Deshaun Watson:
chbright replied to ladypanther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Odds are this is Texans/Watson camp/interested teams stirring this up. So, all of the above need the league to get involved and make a call on the length of the suspension we all know is coming. If you are out of it but maybe can compete next year, you want to have the games the league suspends him fall in 2021 and maximize the 2022 games. Texans know this, Watson knows this, teams wanting him know this. Someone here will know/look up the ability to trade a suspended/exempt list player rules. Something tells me all parties want to get him moved before the suspension to make sure it can go thru. -
I would put a gap between 1 and 2 for this reason: QB is a 1 guy problem, the OL is 3 or more guy problem each of the last 3 weeks. Take your pick on which 3 too so it's more like 3.5-4 total. Only one out of 5 is good/great (Moton), and 1 other is marginal in the role he has been asked to fill (Erving). Really as it stands, 4 spots need to be filled (1 could be a shift from LT to LG) I get we need a QB, but man the o-line is such utter garbage. Get it down from 3.5 to even 2 and then it's a coin toss to which is better: 4 good/great lineman carrying the QB and coordinator or 3 OL and a good/great QB carrying the coordinator and 2 linemen. But I'm not sold a QB only change carries the rest of the lot unless it's a first ballot HOF guy. And we won't just pluck one from the sky this year or likely next either.
